Distraction Post: Interesting Wedding Dresses

What do these dresses have in common?

They are made from toilet paper!

It's an annual contest (except for this year I bet!) to come up with the most creative dress using nothing more than tape, glue, needle and thread, and of course, toilet paper.

You can Google "Toilet paper dress" to see more images.

I don't know how they keep the dresses from tearing.

Maybe they use Charmin Ultra Strong, I don't know.

But, in the crisis that we are in now, I can imagine that those dresses are looking pretty "valuable" !

Just last summer I watched a TV show of a bridal gown competition where everything was made from toilet paper. It was one of the most interesting shows I’ve ever watched. The amount of toilet paper used for each gown would take care of my family for months!

It was very interesting to see the designers fold, roll and pleat the paper in different ways for their dress design. They even roll it tightly in long lengths and crochet with it like yarn, for their dresses.

I “think” spray starch is also used for strengthening the paper.

Dress number 2 is GORGEOUS!😍 I would never have known it was TP. It's perfectly tailored to the beautiful curvy model's body. Even her sultry glance over her shoulder helps sell this dress. I LOVE it!

The second dress is fantastic. You would never know it was made from toilet paper.

Love the detail of the dress in the bottom photo.

I'd also like a closer look at the dress on the far right in the background of the bottom photo. I love the detail on the shoulder strap and bodice of that one--from what I can see. I think that's probably my favorite.
