I wouldn't wish that disease on anyone vulnerable to it, even that guy.

What concerns me more, though, is that it's in the prison system. I need to step back from virus news for a bit this evening. This is getting to me.

@Porcelain, I have read nothing to suggest anything other than if you test positive, you are confirmed as having the virus -- whether with symptoms or asymptomatic.

Someone can test positive for the coronavirus and never come down with COVID-19, which is the disease the virus causes. COVID-19 stands for COronaVIrusDisease 2019 vs coronavirus. People are using the terms interchangeably and that is incorrect.

Weinstein is not "sick" but his test was positive. So was Rand Paul's (Congressman or Senator).

THAT is what scares me so much about this virus.

People can have it and be asymptomatic.

They think they're fine and next thing you know ... they've tested positive.

Being an "older" person, I wear a mask & gloves when I got grocery shopping.

Well, it reminds of AIDS when I first heard about it back in the '80's.

People who had it, didn't know they had it and could infect others eventho' they looked perfectly healthy.

@SilleeMee, is they test positive, they have the virus. Some may not exhibit any symptoms. But they have it and can infect others.

You mean the everyday cold coronavirus that has been listed on the back of Lysol bottles for years? I think people are all talking about this novel virus when they refer to coronavirus or COVID-19.

Now if Harvey Weinstein called in all the newspapers to announce to the world he has a dang cold, I'd like to kick him in the hiney!

Why is it that he can get tested so quickly but healthcare workers can't????

Obviously with him insisting he needs to go to the hospital every few days instead of being in prison where he belongs, he came in contact with the virus.

Prisoners should remain in jail; they're probably safer there from this virus.

This is very interesting....I don't believe I understand it LOL! Is it like having antibodies to it that comes up? Any further explanation would be helpful @SilleeMee

COVID-19 is an illness caused by a virus and, in this case, that virus is a particular strain of coronavirus which happens to be one of a few in the coronavirus family which can cause illness. Coronavirus disease (aka COVID 19) is the illness caused by the new strain of cv.
