I have heard them say the huge numbers of deaths in Italy is due to the large % of very elderly there...in their 80’s and 90’s..the second largest in the world. I sincerely pray for everyone in harms way of this awful virus...and that means all of us. Seems to me that God has had enough of our our world has been going and is bringing us to our knees.

Do you know yet if your church will be having Easter Sunday services? Easter is April 12 and from what I have heard on the news, it seems all of the restrictions here on social distancing and gathering in large groups will still be in force then. We did not have services last week but have heard nothing yet about Easter. Easter Sunday has always been a very special holiday for our family. Big family dinner, Easter baskets for the little ones, etc. I can't imagine not getting dressed up and attending church.

I don't know, our church has cancelled services for the next 2 weeks, then they will re evaluate the situation. I can't imagine not being able to go to church on Easter Sunday either, but I'm gonna do whatever we are told to do at that time. We may all be sheltering in place by then, honestly.

Although online services are not what we would want, I rejoice that we at least have that way (among others) of observing this all-important holiday. Am hoping that as many other congregations as possible can do this.

If your own congregation can't accomodate live streaming, there will be numerous ones online that can be accessed.

We all have to stay strong. I recognize Easter is the most important celebration in my Christian Faith. The Resurrection.

It will likely be a very quiet day, spent without church services and celebrating with family and friends. Perhaps we can observe at home in a way that it is significant to us. And we can contact family and friends to take the place of being with them. The lesson of Easter, to me, is all about Hope. A promise fulfilled. I personally need the message of Hope more than ever. I will be praying for the mercy of the risen Christ.

The larger churches in our community have agreed to remain closed for everyone's safety. They are all live-streaming their services for as long as it takes to keep their staffs and congregations healthy. It's the only option in this unpredictable scare.

Very small (10 people or less) weddings, baptisms, funerals, and personal meetings are still being arranged in the Chapel of our church or the minister's offices.

Sometimes, small is better; certainly less stressful.

Thankful for technology; it allows people to stay connected during times like this...even the schools are still going to be offering instruction via online classrooms.
