Bidet anyone?

I heard people are buying bidets like never before. I'm looking at them. You can get some very cheap, ($50.00) that attach to your toilet. It sounds like a good alternative to buying so much TP! Has this peaked anyone's interest?

Someone posted on Nextdoor that Costco was sold out of them! Not sure of the type of bidet that was being sold though.

@Tangocash Amazon has personal hand bidets which are just plastic squeeze bottles for about $10. I got one several years ago as a gag gift and glad I kept it. I broke several bones in my right hand/arm and found it worked really well. You probably could use any type of squeeze bottle or even a spray bottle.

I've had a Toto Washlet Bidet in my bathroom for 5 years. Love it.

My husband was going to install it for his mother and she was livid at the thought (she's dead now, so I won't say anything bad about her)

So, he installed it in my batheroom. I cannot imagine going without it now.

However, rather than use the fan dry feature, I still use a little TP

I have had Toto washlets in my bathrooms for years. The Toto product needs the type of toilet and an electrical outlet.

Amazon has a good selection and great prices. A local plumbing store may price match.

LOL, this is a little luxury folks do not talk about.

This virus is a pulmonary virus, why in the world is everyone concerned with their bottoms. Pulmonary= lungs.

Or you could put the toilet seat up and then sit on the rim. I've done that before, but not intentional. Yikes!!

2 of our toilets have these attached. had them put in several years ago.

I still have to dry myself with TP? I never heard of the fan thing. When we built our house we made sure to have room for a bidet.

I am assuming some are thinking it eliminates the need for so much TP = buying less TP.

Of course, we realize it has nothing to do with our lungs, but it does = cleaner bottoms and less TP usage

Well, my Toto washlet has a fan feature, so, technically, I could just air dry.

My personal preferece MOST times is to use a bit of TP to blot off. TMI, I realize, but you did ask

Sometimes I fan, sometimes I don't

My husband built our home, too, and we discussed a bidet, but that requires a whole other fixture and that's fine.

But, the Toto Washlet works with our existing elongated toilet and works beautifully, eliminating the need for more space and another fixture.

DD ordered one but stock is such that she doesn't know when or if she will get it---ok my question is this----you need to dry that area, right--with what??? TP--not if you don't have any-------and certainly not towels or wash cloths---gross--- or your hand-----dear godfrey!!!????

If you see my posts above, my unit has a fan that you can use to "dry" if you chose.

Otherwise, I do use a bit of TP to blot off.

Potentially, you don't have to use TP at all, but having TP on hand has not been an issue up until NOW.

So, you can still just rinse, blot or fan dry. If her unit does not have a fan to dry, the idea is STILL that you don't need AS MUCH TP.

It's really very simple and quite nice once you get used to the idea.

Nor had I.

But, since I've had one for about 5 years, I will never be without it

And, since it attaches to my current toilet seat, it's not like having a separate fixture.

Most people who have them, love them.
