2 Cartloads Full Of Toilet Paper

Home Depot's website said they had toilet paper this morning, so I went there to buy some. The sales associate standing at the door said that a man had just bought two full shopping carts of toilet paper, which was all they had.

I asked why they weren't limiting the quantity. She said they were just getting ready to put up the sign, but since it wasn't already up the man wouldn't put them back. I don't know why they couldn't make him, but that's what she said.

I assume I'll be able to find some soon.

Sorry this happened to you. I ordered from Amazon. I have Prime, but they gave me a six day delivery window, it arrived in 2 days.

@Drythe I checked Amazon yesterday, and they didn't have what I wanted. I'm not desperate yet, so wanted to stick with my brand. I'm so glad you got what you needed.

Two weeks ago I had 2-20 packs of tp and a 15 count of paper towels. Store had a deal you'd get $15 dollars off your order if you bought (I think) $35 worth of products.

So basically one big pack was free. I always get bargains for things like that as I stock more than two houses (I share with DS and DIL, too, when I buy big quantity).

I left them in the back of my Suburban as I was getting ready to pack it up for a trip up north. Took the car to my trusty neighborhood service station for a tune-up and oil change. Someone there helped themselves to two rolls of toilet paper.

I didn't realize this until I opened the passenger side back door days later.

I'm not taking any of our vehicles there again for service or gas. If you can't trust your mechanic.....

@Lucky Charm you should at least call them and tell them why they lost a customer. Otherwise, they might not know they lost a loyal customer over something so petty.

I am sure they will figure it out. The mechanic was out working on a jet ski when we went to pick it up. I said Hi to him as I walked to get my vehicle and he just grunted and wouldn't look at me. I remember thinking that was odd. He is the bread winner of the gas station, he works for his father in law. I guess my business was petty to him or his father-in-law.

@Drythe That's interesting. I just checked again, and they do have my Charmin Ultra Soft but it's very overpriced. One seller has it. I try to only buy from Amazon Prime. I checked for Charmin Sensitive, too, since it also sounds soft. Nothing came up for me. I'll keep checking. They must have just posted my Ultra Soft because they didn't have it earlier today.

I do have enough to last for a while. I buy the mega roll extra large packages and have one left. I just don't know how long the panic will last and wanted to have an extra package.

I was grocery shopping yesterday & picked up 1 12 pk of tp & a women with a cart full felt she needed to explain to me she was buying it for a Drs. office. I said no problem, there's plenty but I could tell she was embarrassed...hope she made it out of the store without nasty looks & remarks.

I used to leave it out in the cup holder. Now I either put it in the covered console or in my purse. I don't want my window being broken over a container of hand sanitizer.

That's the next thing....people stealing ALL the TP from places like Meijer, Target, Walmart and so on....leaving one stranded IF you don't first check to see they have any in that dispenser!

Seriously this is just plain CRAZY stupid behavior. I looked on Amazon and some TP is going for very high prices....I believe that man hoarding two carts full of all the available TP is going straight home and put up a Ebay listing for it at $100 or more! People are acting like selfish jerks. Clearly he didn't NEED that much TP...we all know that.

Upon further contemplation for me everything is relative. Two missing rolls out of a total of 40, I could forgive but I would mention it so they know I know. I don't think this would make me find another mechanic - especially if they do good work and don't try to scam me on the price.

@Tique I meant per pack because I think they were two 20s. You're busting on me because I haven't posted in the GH thread lately, right? 😉 I have all five shows to watch. I know. I'll get to it but my TP quota hasn't been met yet. I only have 4 rolls living on the edge! They are 1000 sheets so I'm still doing the math and noting it on my daily planner exactly how many I can use a day. 😂🤣
