Portable Oxygen choice...

Anyone find a portable oxygen-maker that you love? Cost? We have the big, bulky Oxygen maker at home, but would like something light and easy to take us to a casino occasionally

Some of us are on oxygen, I have a big tank and am a creature of habit. You must use the oxygen the way the doctor has ordered it. Do not change the flow rate without talking to your doctor. Too much or too little can cause harm

I love my Inogen 3 or maybe the new Inogen 5, if your physician approves a pulse dose versus the continuous dose we receive from C or E tanks. It weighs about 5 or 6 lbs and runs on a 4 or 8 hour battery. On 3 lpms, the 4 hr battery lasts around 3+/- hours. Look up on medical supply sites, like Main Clinic or American Medical. I could fly, go on day trips, shop,. Now my situation changed and I hope to recover and be free again.

Your oxygen supplier will help you get what you need and figure out if your insurance will cover all or some of the cost.

My supplier arranged for a concentrator to be delivered to and retrieved from my hotel when I took an airline flight.

Or a cruise ship. I've rented and took a concentrator to Cooperstown and watched grandsons team play there for a week. Just FYI the Inogen can be charged and used at the same time, so car travel is easy and you can sleep with it plugged in and ready to go in am. Check with MD, insurance and shop around for best deal.

Thank you SO much for posting this-I have been looking at it-for my husband. since he has been on oxy(Nov) we have only gone to the Doctors office and the tanks never seem to work well-at home he has the big machine that works fine. The Inogen seems to have what we need for small outings

I use an Inogen Portable Oxygen Concentrator when I'm not at home for going to work every day, running errands, out to dinner, etc., etc. It is a great invention!

It was ordered through my pulmonary doctor via my insurance as they can be very expensive - over $2,000, however you might can find a used one for less.

Anyway, it is well worth the money!
