At Walmart

Spoke to worked at WM about timeframe needed to pickup ordered groceries (we haven't done this before) and he mentioned that WM workers have been instructed to not even pop the air filled cushioning thats on incoming merchandise from China. May be extreme but I'm glad they are being proactive in protecting their employees.

Thought Walmart stocked the stores from their warehouses. What are the stores recieving directly from China?

Well air cushioning aside, I recommend placing your Walmart order the day before you want to pick it up unless you need it quick. If you place it a day ahead it gives you hours to go back in and add items.

I bought a little mini watermelon that said from China years ago but it wasn't very good. But it was at this time of year before they were in season.

For some items I think the components can be made in the USA and sent to China but the actual item made in China and shipped back to the USA and the other way around components made in China and the item made in the USA.

It's not just Wal mart and dollar stores. Just about every clothing, shoe and drug stores. Not to mention furniture. This virus points out how inextricably we're bound to the rest of the world.

@lovesrecess and Target, and Costco, BJ's, Sam's Club, QVC, HSN, ShopHQ, Apple store, etc. See my point? If you think China only supplies items to Walmart and the Dollar Store you are sorely mistaken.
