I Think We Got Our 1st Real Snowfall.

We have about 6 inches of snow. Started this morning and came down pretty fast.

Of course we have had some snow this winter but not more than 2 or 3 inches.

DD called and asked if our road was plowed. Ha, nope. They might get to it before 7 or 8 tonight. It's a curvy road and it's always tricky driving in the snow. She works almost 35/40 miles away. Her boss told her to leave at 3:30.

I won't be sticking my nose out until DS plows and I have a clear path to a vehicle. I can just see me splayed on the ground. Anyone going by would never see me of I fell.

Anyone else get a dose of winter today?

We got a bit less than you, but still the most snow so far this season. My driveway is being plowed as we speak, so it's all good. The next few days will be very cold, so the snow will be around awhile. ⛄️❄️⛄️

Out of the blue, out of nowhere, all of a sudden, they're calling for snow in North Georgia tonight, including Atlanta, where I live.

They said maybe 1-2 inches in Atlanta and melting by afternoon because they said it's supposed to get in the 40's but seriously, they haven't mentioned this till like 2 hours ago. So much for forecasting.

Not today, but it snowed on Wednesday night here and I woke up to find snow still on my car, the rooftops, and the grass.

That may not seem like a big deal, but I live in Austin, Texas, where it was 76 the day before the snow and is 75 right now.

crazy weather here.. im in pa.. was 60 mon and tues.. now we have 45 mph winds and snow showers.. extremely windy and it poured here yest,,, but im not complaining at all!!! this winter has been very mild, i think where i'm at we only had about 4 inches of snow this whole winter,, i'm loving it! but we still have the rest of this month and march to go.. i think we'll get our share soon...

In PA too. Kids came home early, after 11:00, early dismissal. We ended up

with a dusting in the grass and only wet roads.

Again forecast was wrong. T.V. weatherman, Kurt Aaron said we would get

1-3 inches. At least it is less than he said anyway. Can't complain.

Suburban NYC here it snowed for about 3 minutes, not enough to matter, we have had a few icy morings along the way

I am in southern WV, where we enjoyed temps in the low 50’s for several days this week. Rain on Wednesday and downpours on Thursday resulted in high water and flooding issues in the county. Schools dismissed early yesterday and were closed today, due to water levels.

Rain changed over to snow flurries last night, and we are in the predicted 1-3” range. It has snowed all day, but hasn’t even accumulated enough to cover the grass.

In western NC, our first snow fall had about an inch accumulation about a week ago. We had a second of scant thin, thin flurries today (35 degrees, the water just wasn't moving through to freeze), and another system comming through in a day that may give us some, not much.

I am in north/central Wisconsin and our ground has been covered with snow since before Christmas. We are expecting another 8 inches on Sunday, but this is normal for us. It is interesting how everyone's perception of winter is different, depending on where we live. The weather really is fascinating when you think about it and affects our lives in so many ways. We have actually had a rather mild and easy winter, so far anyway.

Hey there, I am in North GA also. Moved up here 2 years ago from Wilmington Island near Savannah. We haven't had snow since I moved here. Hope to see some tomorrow. We had snow flakes this morning but they melted as soon as they came down.

We had that mess the first of the week but the snow was in Eastern NM and West Texas. Albuquerque had 3 days of extreme cold (11° AT NIGHT) and terrible wind that made the wind chill below zero. It was still windy today but warmed up. We're supposed to have a nice week-end.

I'm about 50 miles south of DC and we have had relatively warm weather and like those above we had extreme winds here yesterday and rains along with it. We were supposed to get snow a few days ago and we did - flurries for all of about 5 minutes, never stuck to the ground and it left as fast as it started.

@Laura14 - yeah, it's been crazy in East Cobb also. Where did this snow come from? They never even mentioned it till yesterday afternoon.

I had several things I was going to do today, including going to Apple to "maybe" buy myself a watch, but I'm not venturing out in this. Oh, the horrors, LOL.
