65th Birthday Gift

My 65th birthday will be in mid Feb and I have asked hubby for a bottle of Chanel #5, it is something I have always wanted and I have more clothes and than a girl needs.

No.5 is not a favorite of mine, but i do love CHANEL mademoiselle and CHANEL chance. it is always fun to get something you dont need, but really want.

Smells great and never goes out of style! I prefer the perfume to the toilet water. It lasts longer.

Scent is such a personal thing, enjoy your perfume. Congrats on reaching senior citizen status.

Yes. Even the box it comes in is worth keeping. I love it.

(Cristalle is marvelous too, but there's nothing like the Classic.)

I find No. 5 to be too strong for me, but Chanel Cristalle is my favorite warm-weather scent.

Happy birthday and yes to the #5...I think if you love that scent then you will have the best present and you will enjoy and feel luxurious every time you spritz.

@I am still oxox Happy 65th. early. Definitely go for Chane #5. I love it as well as Chanel Allure, Coco, and Coco Mademoiselle. Also go for the Eau de parfume. And one other thing. If you are going to purchase the Chanel with your husband test them all. There are different versions of #5 now. The sales reps.might even give you small samples to try before you purchase. I have even had them toss in samples of different Chanel products in the bag. But this has been awhile back so not sure if they do this now.

One of my favorite memories is the way this smelled on my favorite Aunt.

She worked in Queens, NY, and would commute by subway each morning from Brooklyn. When we visited in the summer, I loved watching her get ready for work. The last thing she did was pull out a huge bottle of Chanel from the fridge and splash it on. It was just divine.

I tried wearing it, but it never smelled the same on me.

Chanel No. 5 is a classic. It stands the test of time. Not all fragrances make it that long. It's light and very pleasant.

You are absolutely correct for requesting what you really want for your birthday!

i love this fragrance as well and have worn it for as long as I can remember. But, if you’re like me I can’t always justify the cost so it’s much better to receive it as a gift.

Congrats on your impending birthday - I’m sure it will be fabulous!!!

Years ago, I was interviewing a young lady and had a massive asthma attack from her perfume. We rescheduled, and I asked her what she was wearing..... Chanel #5!
