Where Is Halfpint1???

She hasn't posted since the 3rd, when she said that she was having computer problems.

It's been almost two weeks since she last posted, which is unusual for her to go this long without posting.

I am worried about her.

She is 82, lives all alone, and has only one good eye (by her own admission).

I am worried that something medical may have happened to her.

She has mentioned in the past that her son Bob knows that she posts here, and I just wish that he could let us know what is going on, because I, and others do care for her, and worry about her.

I wish that someone here knew her personally, and could check on her and just let us know if she is okay or not.

Maybe it's just as simple as she can't figure out how to get on, and I'm worrying for no reason.

@halfpint1 please check in and let us know how you are doing!

Sad to say at times she just does not post and seems to fall off the earth. I hope there is nothing seriously wrong with her

i am hoping she is getting some much needed care and attention OFF of the computer. wishing her well and hoping that she is enjoying something fun.

QVC contacetd her once before, when someone was frightened she was ill or hurt. She was fine

She might be doing something she doesn't want to share, or just busy, or as others have said has computer trouble....she never stays away for too long, and I am sure she will be thrilled that @Anonymous032819 started a thread about her..she needs to have friends here, that she feels cares about her. I sort of think we are her nightlight ,when things become to dark for her to handle

She sometimes reads but doesn't post for a while. When someone pages her like this, she will come on and say she's fine.

Hopefully, it's the same thing now.

Yes, she sometimes has computer problems and can't get online again until her son gets things resolved.

I went through this with my husband and his computer when he was having early dementia problems. First I had to figure out what he did to cause the problem, then I had to go online to find a fix. Not so easy for a Mac user to understand pc problems!

Well, as a former caregiver, I have a different take on that. We do all we can, and it often isn't appreciated.

I think when halfpint posts, it would be in her best interests for us to encourage her to cooperate with her son and to appreciate all he does for her.

He is probably frustrated with having to do the same things over and over again.

It isn't easy taking care of someone who has Altzheimer's/dementia (I'm NOT diagnosing, just saying in general) and watching the person that you love, decline, and become more child-like in their behavior.

Remember, we only know what she tells us, and his perspective can be completely different.

Still, it would be nice to know something.

Who knows? Bob might not be the villian she describes.
She comes and goes pretty regularly so this isn't out of the ordinary.

I think they are good about this sort of thing. Someone called I believe ,and told them what had happened. She shops here ,so they had all of her information on file

I have read her accounts of Bob. I have stated that I feel sympathy for him and would like to hear his side of the story.

I agree with @tansy . You have to remember when she posts things, she is mad at him, and may just be letting off steam

I am not as regular a poster as many of you, but I also have been wondering why she hasn't posted. Hopefully she will let everyone know she is fine. I said a short prayer for her.
