Shop HQ Sale Event Catalog

I was surprised to find a 76 page End of Season Sale Event catalog in my mailbox today from Shop HQ. I like the idea of an old-fashioned magazine-style catalog. Shop HQ had a good idea, and l think it will increase interest in their network, and increase sales. The cost of printing and mailing the catalogs might pay off for them. It’s got clothing, accessories, jewelry (and watches, of course), electronics, makeup, home decor...

Have any of you also received this? I don’t buy much from them, so l guess they’re hoping to get me back as a customer.

I miss the old QVC monthly magazines.

Not as of today. But, if there are their usual very high shipping charges, I doubt it will increase their biz.

I think they are asking for a lifeboat from customers. To me it's so evident that their ship is sinking.

Several yrs ago when they were SHOPNBC they used to send out a small flyer showing some special items around Christmas that had PM coats and jewelry

i buy LOTS of stuff from shop hq.

i didn't get a catalog. i believe the reasoning behind this, is they don't have to entice me to buy, where as if you are a infrequent buyer, they want you to purchase something.

i hope their ship isn't sinking. last year i bought probably 75% of my wardrobe there.

I got a sale catalogue from ShopHQ today, too. Kinda puzzling, since I don't think I've ever purchased anything from them.

No, I didn't get one but wish I did. I miss the old catalog days and think some of the retailers that are struggling might find that going back to catalogs might serve them well. Shopping websites is fine, but sometimes it's nice to be able to turn the pages and look at merchandise before going to the website to order. Seeing something is a catalog has often drawn my attention to an item I probably wouldn't have otherwise known existed. Getting a catalog can also often lead me to check out other things on a website in addition to the item that might have drawn me there.
