There must be something comforting about knowing who your rulers will be in the future. I wish we were that sure.

The real leader in GB is the prime minister and. there's no telling who that will be. The Royal Family strictly ceremonial figureheads.

The Royal Family doesn't rule anything, they can't vote or get involved in politics nor offer their opinion. They must remain neutral.

The Royal Family dresses up pretty and they raise money for charity. They get paid well for that.

Buckingham Palace released a new portrait to mark the start of a new decade.This is only the second time a portrait has been issued of the Queen, Charles, William and George; the first was released in April 2016 to mark Her Majesty's 90th birthday.

The youngest royal's elevated position in the new picture is reminiscent of the 2016 photo, when then-two-year-old George stood next to his great-grandmother on a blue and black step, holding the hand of his father, William.

The mordern royaqlty is ceremonial and philanthropic, not rulers. When the Brtish royalty actually ruled centuries past, there were quite a few I would not have been happy to be subject to. Talk about abuse of power!

Since people aren't perfect and the royals have a whole PR machine to work on keeping up the pretense and appearances, the Brits are all seeing a family of inauthentic people who never had to apply for the job or be voted into office.

They also have billions in personal holdings ... some would say that's nice work if you can get it.

I’ve long wondered why is the British royal family always being slammed and no one ever mentions any of the other numerous royal families in Europe? GB isn’t the only nation with a largely ceremonial royal family. Half of a Europe does also. 😂
