For those of you that have one of these Sleep Number Beds......please give me your review.

I know they are expensive...but if they are as good as they say...what price can you put on comfort and a good nights sleep. I know there are many different features and models to choose from.

Thanks so much!🙂

Hate it. My Mom has the i8 we bought her about 7 years ago after she sustained a back injury. It's a single-chamber full size. We've replaced almost everything of its "innards." The pillowtop sags and since it's not like a traditional mattress you can't turn it to avoid wear. It's too short for her -- most of the time her feet are hanging off the end unless her head is almost even with the top of the bed. She's 5'4". She does like the adjustability of the head and foot, but struggles to get the right setting for the mattress and says it's not comfortable. At age 93 she's not going to spend big $ for another bed.

I have a friend who got rid of her Sleep Number bed -- said it was just a big air mattress -- and returned to her 1970s era waterbed.

For us they are a Godsend. We got our first one almost 20 years ago and it's now in our kids guest room for when we stay or our DIL's parents come. We have one in a guest room at our home and one in our master. On a nightly basis it has really improved our sleep. If one of us isn't feeling well or have had surgery it's amazing. You can easily adjust for you personal comfort. The reason we got the new one was because we wanted to be able to adjust the head and foot of the bed. I have to admit we got the first 2 from the Q, but the last one we got at Select Comfort. The new one is nicer. Better mattress top, quieter motor, and the foam is heavier. These things could be because materials have simply changed, but I had read buying through a store gives you a higher quality. Great company to work with if you have any questions or need a replacement part. hope that helps

I have a C4 model and wouldn't go back to "regular" mattress. I have the split king with adjustable head but really wished that I got the fully adjustable bed. I just buy two twin xl sheets either in the set (I sew the top sheet together) or buy the bottoms separate from the top, which I purchase a king top and two twin xl fitted bottom. I like that you can adjust the hardness/softness depending on how your body feels. Hope this helps.

We love ours! I won't have another brand. My husband and I are opposite with the type of mattress firm or soft that we prefer. This solves the problem. I believe ours has a 25 year warranty and it is 20 years old and still like new. Best investment EVER in my sleep.

I have trouble sleeping and have some health issues (especially with nausua) so the fact that my side doesn't move when either of us gets up is a big plus. We are also fans of the My Pillow for the same reason as the mattress.

A mattress is not a "throw a way" purchase. It's an investment in your sleep and is a priority for us. Budget is always a the #1 issue. I would say that if you like the Aero bed than I think you wiould like the Sleep Number bed. Find a local retailer and check out the different brands, prices and varieties. We purchased ours at QVC and found that they had the best price. Set up was easy.

Hope this helps you.

Mine is 13 years old. It's not a fancy one. It's a queen dual chamber. The pillow top looking part (if that's what they call it) is only about a 1 or 2 incher. About a year & half into it the motor thing died and it was replaced at a nominal cost, no problems since then. Still happy with it. Since buying the one I have they've come a long way with styles and features. I'd buy it again.

I have a Sleep Number Mattress in one of our RV's. It was expensive and I wanted something good that would last and be comfortable.

Well, I am disappointed. It sags. The areas around the edge is firm as well as the center middle where the foam separator is. The air chambers at their highest setting which is 100 do not raise the mattress to the level of the foam. There is always a low spot on both sides of the Queen size where the air chambers are.

We always keep the bed inflated to 100 on both sides because it is like a pool float only half blown up if we do not. Too soft and the air moves as you do. It is almost like the old water beds.

We paid $2500 for this mattress and it is around five years old now. It wasn't worth it. I much prefer a regular mattress. I do not recommend.

I think they are worth it. I had one from 15-20yrs ago, a queen with the remote on both sides to pump up or down the mattress to the number for your comfort level. I slept great with no body aches and never really had to change my number for comfort once I found my comfort level.

I love mine. We are on our second one. First one was their base model that we bought in 99. Lasted about 22 years because I started having back issues. Went to their store and bought a better model and no more back problems. I can also sleep on my back now which I have never been able to. Like other posters said you never feel your partner move or get out of bed. We invested in one that will outlive us. I like my side real firm where he prefers his softer.

I have had my extra long queen Sleep Number since January 2002 and absolutely love it and wouldn't even consider another type of mattress. Mine has the dual chambers with remote that adjusts both side individually, although I live alone. I'm also a large woman and the mattress hasn't let me down. Yes, they are expensive but so is any good-quality mattress. The way I look at it is, if I buy a top at $50 and wear it twice a year, that's expensive. Considering my mattress is 18 years old and it's used for 8-9 hours/night, it's a bargain considering sleep is paramount to good health. Additionally, there isn't a problem with pressure point pain with the Sleep Number bed. I have Osteoarthritis through my entire body and can't even stay at a hotel because if their mattresses. I hope this information is helpful.

@Kitty Galore et al, I have a Sleep Science bed I bought at Costco (I am in Canada) (because of the great return policy). It is a queen, no split mattress. Love it. Have had it about two years. Head and foot are adjustable and there is a massage function that I never use. Great purchase. LM
