A rather traumatic thing happened to 2 weeks ago. And today it was resolved!

What happened was this. I lost my diamond engagement ring. Sometimes I wear it with my wedding band, sometimes I wear it with it out it. About two weeks ago I wore it without the band. I don't usually look down at my ring, and that day was the same. The next day I opened my jewelry box. No ring. I hunted and hunted for it. Getting more panicky every second. I emptied everything. No engagement ring. I held it in for over 4 days from my husband. Scared to death/upset, you name it. It was one carat solitaire set in platinum. Finally I told him. He wasn't angry just shocked that I lost it (I have never lost any of my jewelry) I was miserable for two more days. Then wonders of wonders...my husband purchased another ring. It was a little smaller but different cut (princess cut) My old one was a marquise cut. This one was set in 18K white gold. I was happy, but still feeling sad and guilty. I loved that ring. It must have been my fault, etc. Then today I was taking out all of my jewelry. I purchased another safe keeper (the old one was so beat up) As I felt along side the ring role, I felt something hard. I poked at it. Something was down all the way in a hole. I managed to pull it out. My engagement ring! I must have stared at it for a total of 10 minutes. I couldn't believe it.

Now I had two solitaires. I told my husband. He was happy, but his eyes rolled. He had asked me several times before if I had double checked (like pull everything inside out, etc.) He grinned and suggested I return the new one. I said no way buster.
