Wasn't it great to see Victoria (I heard she wants to be referred to as Vickie) Duval triumph over Sam Stosur? When I see that much exuberance from a teenager it makes me feel young again, even if just for a moment. And Sloane Stephens is having a great tournament this year also. So many young ladies playing so well gives me hope for US tennis in the coming years. The US men appear to be in a rebuilding phase, but John Isner is playing well so far.

With Murray, Rafa, Fed, and Djokovic in fine form, it looks like they are still the men to beat this year. But I think Del Potro and Burdych are waiting in the wings. Short of an upset, it will probably be another Serena/Azarenka final on the ladies side. Do you think Venus is ready to give up playing singles? She looked exhausted after last night's loss.

Look forward to posting with other fans.
