Well, one of the stories on the national news tonight is many Amazon customers complaining about lack of deliveries, even for those who paid for upgrades. So the Q customers are not alone! I also heard the other day that many, many more packages are being stolen at homes! Yes, shopping online is not always as convenient as we wish, especially during the holidays. But I am always happy when my packages arrive!

i have definitely been having difficulties with amazon package delivery. two items were cancelled for some unknown reason and some are delayed (even though i have prime). they offer 2 day delivery, but my packages are arriving in about 6 days or so. i HAVE gotten a few where they have arrived within 1 - 2 days. we do have an amazon warehouse close by also.

I think the problem is UPS. They underestimated the need for shipping services and are simply overwhelmed. They've blamed everything from the weather to mechanical failures for delays. Seems to me like they give priority to Amazon packages.

Someone on our neighborhood website reported seeing a pick-up following a UPS truck. The bed had a bunch of packages in it accompanied by a couple of men. When she walked out toward the street, they took off. She was unable to get a license number but called the police. Made me wonder if UPS drivers don't notice these things?

Just in general, I have found that Prime is not what it once was, at least for me. It takes longer than 2 days more often than it gets in here 2 days, and rarely do I get something in just 1 day. We have an Amazon warehouse within less than 8 miles (I know not everything is in that warehouse, but you'd think SOMETHING comes from there).

I have been having problems with UPS lately, too. Right now I have a package that has been 10 miles from my home for several days. I was notified it would finally arrive today and when it did not come I tracked it and it said it was delayed. How many days does it take to travel 10 miles???? A couple of days ago I had 2 deliveries due on the same day. Oddly, one was scheduled to arrive in the AM and one in the late afternoon. Neither arrived on time. Why would they send 2 different trucks to the same house on the same day - and neither of them can arrive as scheduled? It is early in the busy season, but I suppose it is due to many new people hired as temps.

USPS is the worst of all! You would think some of these companies could get a handle on efficient transport/delivery of packages, but all seem to be getting worse - not better.

Other than QVC I mostly order from Chewy and Amazon.

I usually get whatever I've ordered within 2 days. It's amazing!

With Amazon I've even received something the very day I ordered it.

I don't have any complaints about Chewy (animal things) and Amazon.

There have been a few times when I've gone to other websites and they've directed me to Amazon.

Maybe it's easier for them to go through Amazon, I don't know.

Amazon does not use UPS as much as they once did - they have there own planes and delivery trucks now.

@FancyPhillyshopper : I have prime but upset that UPS transfers the Amazon package to USPS and that adds one or two days for the package delivery. One amazon package today was in a large yellow envelope- delivered by postman was stuffed into our mailbox. It was a small box of miniature Christmas ornaments and a miracle they were not crushed. DH had trouble getting it out of the mailbox. Southern Bee

I think it depends where you live. I've recently relocated and am getting my amazon deliveries faster than ever. They are delivered by Amazon's own delivery drivers in marked vans, or in private vehicles with amazon stickers on them. Some of the private vehicles also have Uber labels on them. Multitaskers!

I think UPS gets more overwhelmed every year. They hire Seasonal help that gets very little training....

I get my last package delivered by Amazon tomorrow and I am done ordering until next month......

I received 2 packages this evening that were listed (per tracking) as shipped via UPS then transferred to LaserShip. They arrived in a town one mile away from me on Wednesday, but were not delivered until today. The delivery guy drove up in a large UHaul truck.

mine come via amazon vans, unmarked amazon/enterprise vans, unmarked cars, and UPS.

I actually prefer USPS delivery. Packages are usually delivered with the regular mail and the carrier knocks when I have a package.

A while back, I had a string of problems with Amazon local delivery and I don't trust them. UPS gives the delivery day, but the window is too big. USPS rarely fails me.

I saw that story. Amazon did say that the snow storms in various parts of the country last week contributed to the delivery problems. I'm not concerned, I got all my packages on my designated delivery day. And QVC seems to have resolved it's shipping problems, for the past month my friends and I have received our QVC packages in a timely manner. The fact is that if you absolutely, postively must have something on a specific date or if you are one of those shoppers who likes walking out of store with your packages in your hands; online shopping is not for you. For me, online shopping is the only way to go now because I love choices. I can't go back to being limited to what is on the racks of some store. When I shop online, I can have anything I want at a price I want to pay. And it comes to my door.

I have no problem with USPS or UPS, Fed Ex is the one that drives me crazy. So far my Amazon orders have all been delivered on time.

I live in a high rise with a 24 hour Receptionist/Security Guard manning the Front Desk. No one gets past them.

Every package that comes into the building is scanned in and the resident is notified immediately via email and text. I received a package this morning at 2:41 AM

Mine too. I think 90% of my packages are delivered by the Amazon's vans.

No problem with Amazon for me. USPS here has started delivery of packages really early. I have had deliveries of packages around 7 a.m. UPS--I don't know if it is them or QVC, but my items take way too long. One of the reasons I'm watching and also buying a lot less from QVC. I did buy two different TSVs recentlly, but they took forever to ship and still haven't arrived. Looks like they may be here middle of next week.

That doesn't explain the year round order and shipping mistakes/delays that I have experienced year round with QVC for almost the last two years.

USPS is bad as they drop off packages on our driveway to sit in the rain even though we have a large, covered front porch. I see the most horrible holes and tears in boxes labeled fragile too. I wish UPS would not have started dropping off at the post office. They don't seem to have as high of standards as UPS.

Fed Ex does top it off lately as they dropped an expensive TV off on our driveway while is was raining. Luckily I got home soon after. It's a hard 20 feet to walk to our porch apparently.

We haven't had any problems receiving our Amazon orders within the 2-day timeframe. Sometimes we get them within a day of our order. Within the last week or so, they've been really good about sending DH an email when our package has been delivered and knocking on the door before leaving.
