I tried only 1 recipe with no success. Baking soda, epsom salts and eucalyptus oil.

I put the mixture in those ice cube trays you can twist but it never set. Not to waste, I scooped it in the bathroom sink with a stopper and hot water. Nice to breathe in during the winter months!

It's something that takes a lot of time and trial and error to perfect. You're better off just buying inexpensive ones from Walmart or dollarbathbombs. Considering how much you'll spend on supplies and the time it will take, it's much more economical to just purchase them.

I make my own bath bombs. My recipe uses baking soda, corn starch, Epsom salts, almond oil, essential oils for scent, and food colors. You will also need witch hazel in a spray bottle to moisten the mixture. I have used aluminum molds but if you're making them for gifts you should use plastic molds. Amazon sells round two piece molds about the size of baseballs. They are reusable and keep the bombs dry and protected.
