Driving home last evening on a pretty well travelled country road, speed limit is 55. At one point cars in the opposite direction were flashing their lights. I thought "OK, whatever it is the car in front of me will be slowing down soon".

Next thing I saw was a medium size dog running near and into the road. Thankfully there was a street I could turn into! She came right to me and I put her in the back of my car.

We drove down that street to see if anyone recognized her. No luck, so I brought her home. I put her in an area where she wouldn't be around my dogs, but she was so nice they were all soon playing. She came in the house and was a very good girl.

After about an hour I drove back to that area and a neighborhood close by hoping to see someone, anyone, out looking for her. Still no luck.

She has a 2010 Rabies tag with a Vet's number on it. I called but of course they were closed, so was Animal Control. She slept in a crate in our basement; poor thing cried and carried on most of the night.

This morning I'm calling the Vet to see if they have owner info on file. She's a young dog, recently groomed in a modified Lion cut and seems well taken care of. I'm pretty sure someone or a family is worried about their dog!

I'm looking forward to a happy reunion.
