I saw this outside a local restaurant and I thought it was very poignant.

That is very poignant and a very nice sentiment for that business to display.

I'm sure that every veteran or military service member that sees it will feel very appreciated.

We can't do enough for our military as far as I'm concerned.

That is a fantastic idea. It could be utilized for schools, as well as churches, in addition to restaurants. Just perfect and a good reminder to everyone to remember all our military, past and present.

It is so sad how little concern, and so much neglect is given to the veterans of this nation. Those that served and are serving should be respected and honored for their service.

It is shameful the way individuals and politicians seem to give concern instead to those who do not obey the laws of the nation. Our veterans are homeless, hungry, and also in need of medical care. Let us acknowledge them first above the rest.

Stand up and and salute all who serve and say a thank you.

When my son was in the Navy, he was ported in Australia ,over the Christmas holidays. A local radio station asked the listeners to adopt a sailor for Christmas

My son was adopted by 2 lovely Australian girls, and he had a wonderful day out ,with them. I have always remembered their kindness

This is what happens when less than 1% of the country is willing and able to serve. The ones who do not serve give lip service ok, but otherwise they are worthless.IMO There's a reason it's in people's best interest to keep the poor, poor.

my husband has several ball caps with Veteran on it as well as his retired military caps.

he feels so loved and cared for when something comes up to him to thank him for his service. He replies to everyone who does. "it was my pleasure and honor to keep all of America safe"

If you want to cry non stop, go over to the local VA Community Living Center, the VA nursing home, and see how empty the facility is on Veteran’s Day. Some vets are taken to a parade or a ceremony for a couple of hours and the kitchen does prepare a nice lunch but the place is so empty. I was there visiting on Veterans Day for a few years and I felt so bad about this. In the morning, local kids and well meaning people would drop off little cards and gifts for the vets and after this, the place would become deserted.

Indeed, our Vets deserve our thanks, kindness & going the extra mile to make them feel welcome. I love to thank their hands, while thanking them for their service.

Same for the police.

They're not to be taken for granted. Believe me, they appreciate our thanks & many are surprised by it. Too bad, many give them a bad rap. (no matter the career, there're good & bad in all.)

Prayers & Blessings to all of our Vets & Law Enforement, First Responders.

My husband will be attending different events tomorrow and then going to Applebee’s for a free dinner . He was a combat soldier in Vietnam. He got shot + received a Purple Heart. He’s very patriotic and has lived w/ extreme PTSD. Thank you to all the soldiers in all wars!!
