I have many things from Cuisinart. And all have been great. But I have a very basic Kitchen Aide stand mixer that I got from a Target Over 25 years ago for $169 that is working perfectly. Go for it. I prob would. Love the brand.

Like others, I also have some Cuisinart appliances and cookware. I think highly of the brand.

I'm still using an old Sunbeam that was a wedding gift. I keep thinking it's time to replace it, but the Kitchen Aid mixers are getting mixed reviews these days.

If I get a new one, it will likely be a Cuisinart. It has great reviews, and a lot of power (500 watts). In Kitchen Aid, you have to go up to the more expensive Professional 6 quart mixer with the bowl lift to get that much power.

If you decide to buy one, I hope you'll get back to us with an update.

I have lots of Cuisinart small appliances and very satisfied with them which is why I purchased their mixer, but my mixer was a bust. Not sure if I got a bad one or what, but get it and make sure you have a return policy and use it if you are not satisfied.

My beaters won't stay in as they should. As tight as I try locking them in, they just are too loose and come out in the mixing process occasionall, actually too often to be a good product.

Others may have a different experience (and I hope so) but that is mine. I purchased mine at Williams-Sonoma and soon thereafter, they closed their store in my area, and I never bothered to contact the home office of either W-S or Cuisinart.
