I've Applied For A Promotion

Maybe "promotion" is the wrong word to use, but there is a vacancy for a position where I work, and the position is one rank above where I am now.

At least two other co-workers of mine are also applying for that coveted spot.

It will mean more clerical/computer work, more responsibility, and yes, more pay, but I want all of that.

It will be a challenge, but I look forward to work that is challenging, that makes me use my brain more.

The next step will be a phone interview.

I have been in the position that I now hold since 2008, and I finally feel ready to take the next step.

Is it scary to take the next step?

Yes, it is, but it's a good kind of scary.

WONDERFUL! Go over some answers and maybe make some bullit points for the phone interview. Take a deep breath, don't talk too fast and be excited about showing 'em what you've got!

I know someone who dressed up for the phone interview (she had a specific time) and said she felt very professional and efficient! LOL!!! But I guess that worked for her!

@Anonymous032819. The last time I bid on a job, it involved selling my house, packing up and moving 450 miles to a city I knew nothing about and knew no one. Bought a new home and settled in. It all worked out very, very well. Good luck to you.
