While I admire her passion, courage and dedication, I could not do it. Good for her, for championing for such a worthy cause. She has my respect.

Unlike the majority of posters on this forum, I like and respect Jane Fonda. I don't always agree with her but on this latest protest, I do. I met her and saw her that same evening on Okinawa when she (unbeknownst to me) was on her way to Hanoi. Feelings in that era were really mixed on "the war" (I feel she made a really bad call) but let me tell you what it was like to see her and Donald Sutherland that evening. The entire audience was military or DoD civilians, including many teachers; some of us felt we were literally risking our jobs and we (me included) disguised ourselves by borrowing one another's wigs, glasses and outfits). It was a good thing we did, because there were videographers filming entire audience (Fonda's team or U.S. Government?). Many years later our group was in a photo in Jane's autobiography!!The largely military audience was very loudly enthusiastic about the show.

Well, for crying out loud, I protest climate change also; but it happens with every season. It has been that way all my life. It seems to be something natural.

Live well, love the earth. I think that's all we can do as individuals. As for big industry--try harder.

Dont get me started on J. fonda😠. She's doing this to stay relevant as lately she hasn't any movie . Who needs her protesting she only takes away from the subject to put the limelight on herself. Don't get me wrong I don't even agree with the climate chance believers at all !!!! It has been this way as long as I can remember just as @FLgardener wrote , which I agree with totally. Climate changes have been happening since the beginning, how ridiculous to think otherwise !!! Right our earth is going to be no in 10 yrs , Right 😂🙀

I was a teen when she came to my city to lead a protest right outside a military installation. I lived nearby and saw her there in person. My dad was in VN at that time but being so young myself I really never understood that entire ordeal...other than the real possibility that we could have lost my dad in that war. Today whenever I see Jane in the news or wherever, it takes me back to those days.

It's her life to do as she chooses but I think she'd have a bigger effect on the environment if she reduced her carbon footprint.

What she said concerning Viet Nam was well over forty years ago, I think it's time to let it go especially when our country is friendly with them.

Do you feel that all protesters "take away from the subject to put the limelight on themselves?" Ms Fonda does not need to stay relevant. She has been working her entire adult life and has been starring in a highly rated show on Netflix since 2015.
