    <description>&lt;P&gt;As some of you may know, a friend of mine was diagnosed with AML and received a bone marrow transplant recently.  The marrow came from her sister, but I have to wonder what might have happened if no one in her family had been a match.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I used to be under the impression that donating bone marrow was extremely painful and would lay a person up for a good long time...I was wrong.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I found this thread on Reddit.
