Had a lovely lunch today at a new Chinese restaurant we tried.

When we sat down an older Chinese lady came over and sat down. She asked if we had ever eaten there before. When we indicated we had not she proceeded to tell us she was from Tai Wan (sp?) and how all of her ingredients are fresh. It was a little hard to understand her but she was delightful. She questioned us thoroughly about what kind of things we like to eat and of course was disappointed when we said "sweet and sour chicken". She "refused" to let us all order that. She encouraged us to all get something different. It was so cute.

She discussed other options she was sure we would like and so two of us got something different. She then asked if we were allergic to shrimp. "no" but dd said she didn't like it. DH and I said we do like it. So she brought us 6 almond shrimp "on the house" and it was to die for. Don't know what the sauce was. DD loved it too! (Funny because DD's fortune cookie said " eat something you have never tried before" )

Anyway, obviously we have a new favorite place to eat. It was quite an experience.
