This is sad news. Luved the Cars back in the day.

Just a few weeks ago I loaded 'Moving in Stereo' onto my ipod. I like the music of decades ago as opposed to whats going on now. I guess every generation njoys their own music.

Yeah, that was my jam, as well.

First song that I remember which had the audio go from

one ear to other...I’m sure there’s a technical name for it...

ASMR videos are famous for it.

I always loved going to the village at Manhattan. There was a gourmet grocery store called Balducci's I would often shop at with my sister back in the seventies/eighties.

One time I went in on my own while my sister waited outside, I just wanted to buy water. A very tall slim dark haired guy was walking toward me and he knew I recognized him by the look on my face, it was Ric Ocasek. I sensed from his look he didn't want me to make a scene, not that I would have so I smiled and nodded and he smiled back and nodded in return. Of course I was excited and thrilled and as he walked by I couldn't wait to tell my sister and didn't even get my water!

I never forgot that day and how excited I felt. I am so sorry to hear Ric has passed and know his music will live on and The Cars have made their mark in music history. Thanks for the memory, Ric, may you be at peace with God.

@SydneyH agreed. Loved Drive. Did you ever see the movie Ladyhawke? I was struck by the thought that if Etienne and Isabeau had a son he would look like Ben.
