Boring Friday

Here I am at 8:23 on a Friday ready to wash my face and put on my pajamas. Got out of work early and used the time to exercise. It used to be me and my partner went out every Friday, getting the good restaurant reservations, having fun putting a cute outfit together, seeing and being seen and having cocktails and a great meal. No more! He works all weekend now. I’ve become a lonely spinster. Just me and my DVR and a glass of rose wine. So to anyone else chilling out like me solo, and maybe a little underwhelmed, cheers 🥂

@fthunt Lots of women, including me. If you want a "laugh" .......I always thought that song was "Crimea River"............(!!!)

Well to be honest, I worry this level of work will be the end of him and I will be a widow soon. Over 100 hours per week, it’s really scary. People die over less stress than he has. So I try to make light of it when I’m really worried inside.

I have been in my pj's as I was released from the hospital a couple of days ago so I am not having an exciting time. I am still a little weak but getting stronger. No wine for me, it's water and Prednisone! LOL To everyone else, enjoy your weekend.

Nothing special here. Drinking a flavored water and watching baseball with my husband. At least he has a beer in hand.

Had a great day.

Went out today, bought 6 pumpkins, picked up my

daughters birthday cake. Later went out to dinner,

came home for dessert, now relaxing watching t.v.

@Grouchomarx Good - sounds like he needs support with that many hours and stress. Sometimes we have to put out wishes on the back burner & just buck up. Be happy!

Thank you! I do my best to enjoy my quiet time. But I cannot lie and say I miss the good old days. Now I just live to support him and keep him alive and happy.

100 hours a week? I hope that's just a temporary thing for him. Otherwise it's like that you'll be kicking up your heels and enjoy your weekends with your new guy.....after this one kicks the bucket. We all need fun and relaxation in our lives and couples need to spend time together and have fun together.
