Years ago, as a child I remember my dad telling me people would occasionally add a few peanuts to a coke!

Grew up doing that.. it's nothing new.. Take a drink, get a peanut and chew.. sweet and salty together..

No no no! It was peanuts in an RC. About as disgusting as anything I can think of. Where I grew up that was not common but I have seen people do it. Everybody was poor there and I guess for some that was a treat.

But it was always RC. I have tried an RC back then, but thought they were awful and never finished one. Even worse then Pepsi!

I can't for the life of me see why anyone would do this, but I also think that, unless you're using a straw, it presents a choking hazard.

Totally Southern. Coke and peanuts and RC and Moon Pie. Never cared to mix my nuts in my coke. It would ruin my life. LOL

@Sooner Instead, it was Moon Pie and RC in my youth. We did the Coke ( or Pepsi) and peanuts combo. While I am showing my age, we also put crushed potato chips on baloney sandwiches.

It has been many years.

@IamMrsG OH thanks for the recipe! I never did that. I haven't had a bologna sandwich in about 6 months and it's time for another one. On good white bread. With good mayo! What chips? Ruffels? My favorite of all time!

I love it, doesn't taste bad to me at all. My oldest sister use to do it all the time when she was younger. That's where I picked it up from.

I will take my peanuts crushed into peanut butter. Don't eat

whole peanuts anymore.

Earlier today I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I drank

an ice coffee and it was a delicious little meal.
