topic What common phrases do you find rude, if any? in Community Chat

I've been participating in a thread on another forum and realized that I have a very negative reaction to people who state ther opinion and then say "End of story." I find it very arrogantly dismissive and rude. I also don't like "Whatever" which communicates a lack of interest in talking with the other person. And when someone starts out with "I don't mean to be rude but . . .," "I don't want to hurt your feelings but . . .," or "I'm sorry but," it's clear they KNOW what they are about to say is rude or hurtful but they're going to say it anyway. Maybe it's just my age (early 50s). What phrases do you interpret in a negative way? Are there phrases you find particularly effective at allowing you to express your dissenting opinion while still being tactful?
