Ancestory.com Digitizes Holocaust Records, Free Access

Ancestry, the genealogy and DNA testing company, has digitized millions of records of people who were displaced or persecuted in the Holocaust and made them searchable online at no cost.

This is from a NY Times article which I do not have access to or I would post more information but if you have Holocaust victims/survivors in your family, you may want to take a look as it sounds like a wonderful opportunity.

Saw it and thinking about it myself. Problem, so many lost I would not even know where to start.

I wonder if they are going to make any and all Holocaust records free.

Ancestry has a habit of saying free access until you get so far. If you want to see more you need to subscribe.

I found a site online called Find A Grave a free site. It has a lot of our family history listed there from both mom & dad's families. It's really interesting. People out there I'm related to but I will never know.

You can send in any information you have that needs to be added, corrected or add photos.

I know 1 of mom's sisters & 1 of dad's sisters did a lot of this research.
