New forever stamp released of miliary working dogs.

I love these and was excited for them to be released. I bought a few books of these stamps online.

They highlight the German shepard, Labrador retriever, Belgian Malinois and a Dutch shepard.

I wish they had pictures of the actual dog instead of the drawing/sketch.. Not sure what to call it, but a picture of the real dog would have looked so much better. This is just my opinion.. Either way, I will get the stamps to honor these wonderful hardworking dogs.. I've met a police K-9 Belgian Malinois. He was beautiful. I think he would have torn you all to pieces (or killed you) if he were told to do so..

@KatieB thanks so much for letting us know these stamps were issued. I am definintely going to buy a book and I am pretty sure not too many are going to make it back into circulation as I want to keep them for myself!

Crumb, I just bought stamps today and the postal employee asked me if I wanted the flowers and I said "sure". Had I known I would have asked for the service dogs. Darn it!!!

Doberman Pinscher

Nice stamps except they left out the Doberman Pinscher. This magnificent breed is worthy of attention.

Wish they had put the actual pictures of these beautiful breeds on the stamps.

Plus, am sure some dogs of mixed breed have also rendered valuable service to our country.

Btw, I believe that we can donate $ to (some) local police K9 programs, specifically toward K9 bullet-proof vests, which are very, very expensive.

The best of health and safety to all military and K9 dogs, who save their masters' lives, soldiers' lives, and citizens' lives each and every day.

Sending them their luckiest stars to watch over them.
