How long does it take to get your order of new Bank checks?

I write very few check these days because I use the Bank's Bill Pay. I took my order slip to my usual Bank location on July 10th and the teller placed my order for me. I never asked how long they take, although I don't remember waiting very long.

As of yesterday, I have not received them. My Bank uses Harland and Clarke, so I Had them check on my order and was told they shipped July 12th and they take 10 BUSINESS days to arrive. My checking acct was charged for the checks July 17th.

I went back to the bank yesterday and told them my concern that they may be stolen. I have watched my Checking acct for any frauulent activity.

I was told that they take 2 weeks to receive them from the ship date. I just can't beleive this...AND there is NO TRACKING available for them!! You PAY EXTRA if you want 'tracking'. (no one told me that)

The bank told me to give it another one or two days and then they will put a "hold" on those check numbers.

If you order checks from Harland and Clarke, how long does it take?

I've never ordered checks from the bank or Harland and Clark.

The last time I ordered checks, which was a couple of years ago, was from Checks Unlimited. I didn't pay for faster shipping or anything. They did take a while to come.

Give it a few more days.

The last time I ordered checks, I had the option of having them delivered to my bank. They called me when ready. It's safer than going through the mail.

I wouldn’t worry too much...it does take time to get them..in the future, just have them sent to your bank branch and you can pick them up there. And definitely pay extra for tracking.

My bank uses Harland as their check supplier as well. I order thru them because I get one box per year at no charge and that's more than enough for me. Yes, the free, bulk rate shipping option does take about 2 weeks to arrive. I've never had any problems with receiving them. They'd be shipped the same way to the bank if I choose to have them delievered there, so I see no point in having to make a trip to pick them up.

A few months ago we opened a new checking account in order to get a better rate on a CD and it took a lot longer than I expected to get the checks. If I remember it was at least 10 days before they arrived.

Agree with @FrostyBabe1 .

Harland printed my new checks last spring, took just as long as Deluxe check printers to get to me.

It does seem to take quite a bit of time to get check orders. I would go with the information provided by your bank. If you don't receive the checks by 7/31, then I'd be concerned and go back to the bank.

My bank uses Harland and Clarke and last time I ordered checks it did take awhile...

I can never find the check reorder form.

I usually just stop at the bank and mention to the teller that I I need more checks and he/she places the order and I get them in less than a week.

ordered some for my mom recently.

i use CHECKS IN THE MAIL.

they got them to her in about a week and a half with no rush delivery.....that was extra if she wanted it.

they are also on mr rebates and there are often coupon codes available.

I order my checks online through the Bank of America portal. I never have to pay for my checks they are free. They usually come within one week. Never had a problem.

My Bank used to use "Deluxe". I don't know when they started using Harland and Clarke. With "Deluxe", I know I used to get them in about a week.

Since I use the Banks bill pay, it will be a year or more before I need more.

I just can't believe something with such important info on it ships "bulk Mail" with NO TRACKING.....learn something every day...

I order my checks from WalmartChecks dot com. They have lots of styles to choose from, fast free shipping and they are very reasonably priced. They have a ASPCA collection where 6% of the purchase price goes for donation.

@Nataliesgramma the teller or admin who placed the order selected bulk rate shipping - unless you specify priority ship with tracking.

i order my checks from HC online and always select bulk rate because this company likes to gouge you on trackable and prioirty shipping. My bank uses the same website as the customers to order checks.

My checks no longer are shipped in boxes, they are shipped in a flat package now. And yes turnaround time is about 2 weeks.
