$89 For Eye Bobs

Is QVC serious about Eye Bobs costing $89? For readers? Now I know why Shawn is wearing (promoting) them on every show. Maybe the frames are out of this world, but give me a break -- $89 is a bit much for "generic" glasses. For that amount, you can get them at the optometrist office with your specific prescription or go to the drug store and spend less than $10.

I returned the ones I bought, they are not made for a woman's face unless your face is as big as a mans.

They are cute, but for readers (to me) it's a bit high.

I'm picky about glasses and I will pay for style and comfort, but I don't wear readers enough to justify that cost.

I no longer wear readers as I can no longer wear my contacts. I'm in regular glasses now.

But, when I DID wear readers over my contacts, if I absolutely loved the frame, I'd spend $89 for them. Now, I wouldn't buy multiple pairs at $89, but on one I would.

But let me also add that back when I was wearing contacts and readers with them, readers were harder to find than they are now. It was nothing 12 years ago to spend $25 on readers. Now you can find them everywhere and the prices are a lot lower.

I lose readers all the time so I buy them at the Dollar Store as well or Walmart in sets of 3 or 4.
