I have always been fascinated by the Amber Room as well. We saw the reconstructed Amber Room in Catherine's Palace and it was absolutely magnificent. Hopefully they have finally located the original!

I have seen the Amber Room in Russia and it is, indeed, glorious to be in that room. Actually, the whole palace is magnificent.
