Cauliflower Pizza

I have to admit that when I first heard of this I was less than impressed. However on a friend’s recommendation I gave it a try. I bought it at WalMart and the brand name is Cauliflower Pizza. Now to the taste, the crust is crispy with a nice flavor. It has cheese and the taste isn’t bad. According to the box, a serving is half of the pizza. What I do is cut it in fourths and have that with a salad. It’s not pizzeria pizza, but it has a nice mild flavor, I may add some red pepper flakes next time. I will definitely buy it again.

I made the pizza crust with spaghetti squash - it was a lot of work for what it was, lol.

I agree that cauliflower pizza is better than you'd think. I have bought it more than once, and I like it fine.

@QVCkitty1 I have been thinking about cauliflower pizza, but if I was buying it I would have to know the ingredients first. I'm pretty much a whole foods person, so i might have to make it from scratch. I like the idea, though.

I had that brand with vegetables on it. It was good. I also picked up an Oprah cauliflower pizza. I was surprised to read on the box that it was made with both dough and califlow er. I found the crust dense. Leftovers were better.

My daughter and her significant other eat cauliflower pizza often....they love it. I haven't tried it yet. It's expensive....I'm so cheap I haven't bought it yet!!

I am gluten free so I have been eating cauliflower crust pizza for quite a white. The best one I have found comes from Costco made by Milton's Craft Bakers.

I have tasted the four cheeses and the roasted veggie varieties. Both are excellent. Not all culiflower crust pizza is gluten free, but this one is. You buy it in a two pack. I always have one in my freezer....just in case. So good.

My grandkids love it too.

I tried one and didnt care for it at all. Full disclosure, I don't like cauliflower much to begin with. I was overwhelmed by the cauliflower smell of the pizza. Others might not smell it as much, but I seem to be sensitive to the odor. I took a few bites and threw the whole thing away.

@Ms tyrion2, haven't tried cauliflower pizza. But we did try cauliflower "mashed potatoes," if that makes sense. This was back when my husband started to watch his carb intake due to pre-diabetes.

We do like cauliflower, but no, it was not an acceptable substitution for mashed potatoes. We basically just do without potatoes these days (we love yams, though, and they are a lower on the glycemic index).

With a salad I can only eat one slice anyway - no diet problem - just get full so...will stick with old tried and true. Do love raw cauliflower.

Aldi has the best cauliflower crust pizza. Serving size is one third.

Today I purchased the broccoli crust pizza. Hopefully that one is just as good.

Health wise, it would be better to eat a regular ole dough pizza

but leave off the cheese, dairy, meat & oil....and add on a

MOUNTAIN of veggies. I want to say Dominos can do this....

I love cauliflower pizza....I add mushrooms, pineapple, and artichoke hearts. Delicious!

I like cauliflower a lot but still have to try the pizza. I think it would be good as long as the crust is crispy, not doughy. I have seen it at the supermarket and I've also seen just the plain cauliflower crust where you add your own toppings....think I might give that a try.

I tried it once, it's a lot of work to get the cauliflower dry enough so it not a mushy mess and it's still cauliflower pizza. The taste was just ok and I think I'm a pretty good cook. I love pizza and make my own dough so this was a big disappointment.

Plus prepared pizza has so much sodium...it’s definitely an

once-in-a-blue-moon thing....or it could be a good transitional

food for those wanting to go more plant based.

Just eat the regular pizza, eliminate the unhealthy stuff,

and leave the regular cauliflower alone (you know so many

cauliflower pizzas in up in the trash can).
