@SharkE . I don't know. I've heard nothing on the news about it. Did you try to call them?

Maisel told the Albuquerque Journal he already has sold the store at 510 Central Ave. (aka Route 66) and has marked down his merchandise 50 percent. However, he said he was in no hurry to close and has until December to empty the building

@SharkE : I was at Skips last month and they told me they would be there through August. That said, very little of their merchandise was marked down more than usual and Additionally, some of my favorite artists are already gone (Chalmers Day and Bennie Ration). The salesperson mentioned that some very big buyers, worldwide, are already putting In their bids for what is left. The store, at this point, looks completely stocked, unless you really know their stock. I will miss Skip Maisels.

I've. been to Alburq. one time back few yrs. ago never got to go to Skips.

Once I hit Old town area I didn't want to leave ! Be nice to get away on a trip, not to far of a drive. Mtn. time we don't like LOL Try to get to Skips this time. Go to the Malls. Amarillo, doesn't have a Macy's, so, that'll be a stop.

I wore my big ol' rhodocrosite (sp)? cuff to church last Sun. and this one

girl about had a stroke. "OMG, that is gorgeous, just gorgeous"!

Mineral miners has some great stuff on their site. I've bought from them before (a BIG lapis bracelet that is heavy) they have good prices and great selection of stones and stones they have made into jewelry.

I found a rhodo pendant there last night I'd skip for. LOL 131.00 think it was

Big pink raspberry stone set in silver on a chain.
