    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;I appreciate seeing the support from Amazon shoppers in helping OP to register her complaint. &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;And for her own peace of mind I sincerely hope that she does follow through.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;But be aware that in e-commerce, requesting &amp;amp; expecting a satisfied, repeat customer to exercise the &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;&lt;EM&gt;courtesy&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt; of submitting positive feedback isn't unusual.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;It's part of netiquette.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;I believe the the standout issue here is that the seller contacted the customer by phone. I wonder if that's an "opt out" choice she overlooked.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;OP doesn't state whether they used other methods to communicate with her prior to calling. It's possible he concluded she doesn't "do" email on a regular basis.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;However, whether anyone was yelling, the actual statements and "tone" within the call, (by either party) will all be&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;he said-she said&lt;/EM&gt;&amp;nbsp;to those who investigate complaints unless one of them has a recording of the call.&amp;nbsp; He may.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Here's the complaint based on the original post:&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;Vendor initiated phone call to request product review. &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;Customer (verified buyer of product x) became upset when he prompted her to submit a positive review for the product, which she'd purchased from this seller "many times before".&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I recently placed an order with Amazon...I shop on Amazon all the time. The order was two medicated shampoos DH has to use. I rarely write reviews unless there is a very good or very bad experience. I didn’t write a review for the shampoo since it is the same stuff I have ordered many times before. Yesterday I get a phone call from someone with a thick foreign accent...German, perhaps. He starts yelling at me, demanding that I write a positive review about the shampoo he sold me....by not writing a review, I was lowering his positive rating percentage, &amp;nbsp;and if it drops too low Amazon will charge him more....he was really scary. I am not writing a positive review...but who do I report this lunatic to? Am feeling intimidated. No more Amazon for me....&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I would email Amazon customer service to report this and ask them for a response in writing.&amp;nbsp; When you purchase from Amazon you can opt to write a review and/or contact the seller.&amp;nbsp; The seller should not contact a customer unless the customer reaches out to them first.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;By doing this, he probably is violating his contract with Amazon.&amp;nbsp; They need to know about this, please contact them.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/32171"&gt;@lovesrecess&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; He violated one of the rules for sellers-they are NOT to contact any buyer via the buyer's phone number.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Amazon provides the phone number to independent sellers, so that is how he has your phone number.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you go into your account scroll down to "Help" and type " report seller abuse" in the Search Box-it will bring you up to the link for a Live Chat or Option for Customer Service to Call You.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'd link but it probably would be removed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do not leave a postive review.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Let Amazon deal with him.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've received basic e-mails a few times from sellers wanting me to leave reviews but I can't imagine getting a call like that. I definitely wouldn't let it stop me from shopping there. Report him. That's ridiculous.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;He wants a review well he will get a review. In the review tell it just like you are telling us with a phone call &amp;amp; him harassing you for a postive review. I never had that happen to me, I do get emails asking to write a review about my experience with the vendor &amp;amp; the product. I use to always write but now I really don't bother. You should check on this vendor &amp;amp; see what other people said about him. Amazon customer service needs to be aware of this also. Don't let this one vendor keep you from shopping on amazon, you did nothing wrong.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Color me baffled, just color me amazed. &amp;nbsp;Just weird. &amp;nbsp;I felt like writing her and saying, stop it, color me pis.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Wow!&amp;nbsp; I didn't know that if you don't leave a review for a seller it affects their rating.&amp;nbsp; I would only think if you left a good or bad one it would do that.&amp;nbsp; I choose not to in most cases to leave a review for a seller on Amazon.&amp;nbsp; They may ask me to via email but I just delete the message.&amp;nbsp; It's bad enough that the Ebay sellers want reviews; I'm not doing Amazon, too.&amp;nbsp; Just saying.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
