I've watched the whole show to see if I would like it enough as a replacement for beauty night with Sandra and Alberti.

Honestly...I think Shawn has done a great job. She's been honest about brows and Botox. Good for her.

I'll watch again next week. I just pray it brings different items each week instead of philosophy and it cosmetis over and over annnddd over. Lol

Also, Ivy did a great job adding to the conversation.

I didn't see the show, but I prefer hosts that are honest with their presentations over those who aren't.

There was a former host who pushed a particular brand of cosmetics who raved how well it covered her rosacea, but would never start with bare skin to show how well her BFFs (now former) minerals covered her skin. Not Shawn's #1 fan, but good for her for keepin' it real. Everyone can talk the talk, but not everyone can walk the talk. LuLu

Apparently Shawn is very comfortable in her own skin. She has access to the best beauty products and procedures available.

I don't care for Shawn and don't watch, but, I think her "over sharing routine" encourages more sales than you might think.

Let's face it, botox or facelift is the only way you are going to look younger. There is no magic cream or serum.

@jnb0903 Didn't watch, but gather Shawn has had Botox. What about her brows? She looks much younger without make-up. Actually, most of the hosts do!

ETA: Went back and watched most of the videos from Shawn's new show. She was friendly to her guests and models, energetic, seemed to know the products and it was enjoyable and informative. I'd watch it again if she is able to maintain this degree of kindness and professionalism. Like her improved on-air demeanor very much.

During the last Beekman presentation Shawn took off her makeup using the facial wipes and I thought it was a great way to actually see how the product worked. She said she did not mind demonstrating because it was the last presentation of the night. I really liked the concept and did not think it was a gimmick.

I think Shawn’s new #daretosharebeauty segments on QVC are very refreshing. Of course, it’s still selling, this is a retail channel. But I feel it’s more than that, it can be quite emotional to bare it all like that.

If you think removing her makeup was something, you should check out her FB page. A part of this beauty sharing are two photos Shawn posted of her from the rear, in bathing suits. She wanted to show cellulite is normal and doesn’t define you.

I watched part of it...I don't know. I vascilated between "this is nice" to "this is boring". Too much blabbering. I switched to the other Q channel and Mally was doing some thing where she started with bare face and then put makeup one...must be the latest craze...

I don't watch her but I do follow her FB page

IMO she's much prettier without the overdone makeup, she looks younger.

She often posts pictures of her & Jagger at home, without makeup.

Her daughter is adorable.

I've never thought of makeup removal as a gimmick. I think it's an excellent sales tactic. I'm confused as to the reason anyone would object.

This isn't really a new concept for the Q. Years ago, there was a model named Stacy who represented Smashbox or some other cosmetic company. She would come on set with her hair in tollers and no makeup, and would start building from there on camera, culminating in makeup on and curlers out of hair. It was kind of interesting to watch.

PS: I just googled it. The company was Models Prefer, and Stacy the model is now on HSN.

Stacy is so fabulous and I LOVE her eyebrow pencil. I've never in my 53 years did my brows but since im getting some gray...i bought hers. (called YBF now on HSN) She is over the top but thats tv for ya...i still get her point...listened to her instructions and do pretty well if I do say so. Love her before and after live.
