Cow Cuddling-its real

I had not heard of this, has anyone else heard of it?

They explain that cows are gentle, sensitive and intuitive creatures and have the ability to read your body language:

They will pick up on what’s going on inside and sense if you are happy, sad, feel lost, anxious or are excited and they will respond to that without judgement, ego or agenda.
Cows have a body temperature that is slightly higher than humans and their heart rate is lower than ours. Cuddling up with a cow, feeling that lower heart rate and higher body temperature, is very relaxing.
Before you decide to go rogue and drive out to the middle of nowhere to cuddle up with some random cow, stop. The sessions are facilitated by an equine specialist and a licensed counselor who will ensure an emotionally safe environment, allowing you the time and space you need to relax, heal, learn, and grow.

Just wait until you're cuddling your cow, it suddenly jerks it's head up and crashes it's big, hard skull into yours. You'll see stars, not peace and serenity.

It's all fun and games untill they grow up and will walk right over and trample you to get to the feed. "Cuddle" with that.

Been there, done that, raised 3 or 4 of them on bottles. They are cute and cuddly when they are very young! Not so much after that. Other than that, I don't think the OP is a very accurate description. They don't much pick up on what you are doing or how you feel?

Horses? OH yes. They are great at sensing your mood, standing with you to comfort you or just hang out, doing things just for the fun of irritating you, playing, and are to me as good a pet as a dog. But maybe I'm biased about that opinion.

I have spent a lot of time around horses and cows, so I feel qualified to express my opinion on that subject. Horses are curious and want to be near people (at least many of them) where cows aren't really into you and what you are doing.

they don't get treated so hot in Tx. I told a farmer close to me he had a cow dying and one with a broken leg. He told me off. I called the law and they said if it's on their own land then nothing could be done.

ASPCA would have a field day in Tx. they get no shelter from extreme weather. they just figure if they lose a few here and there always be another cow birthing.

Wasn't like that up in Ind.

I will add that in some ways, horses remind me of cats. Curious, want their noses in what you are doing, and even if you love 'em can be a pain in the behind!

It is a good thing the cuddling sessions will be monitored by professionals.

Years ago, when there were horses running around Colonial Williamsburg, I was sitting on a fence and stroking the head of one. I decided to give it a hug and the horse was not happy.

My arm was not pretty after the incident.

Here in Wisconsin there are an abundance of cows. I have never seen or heard mention of the cows being "cuddled". They do appear to be docile creatures. And the calves that come along in the spring are rather cute, and very vocal.

I live in cow country, they are dumber than a box of hair. Although it was entertaining when one ate apples that fermented and it actually got drunk. Hand to God, it's a thing.

Yes, he should be in jail! Not much like that here either, and there are cattle for miles just west of us. In general, I think people take good care of them.

One old man across the road from our cows my dad thought he didn't feed them as much as he should have. But they weren't really starving or neglected. My mom always said dad had to farm to keep the cattle in the lap of luxury! LOL!!

@CherryHugs We have Hereford cows, and trust me when I say this, they don't respect your space, I'm not saying they are mean, they just aren't soft and cuddly.

Thing I don't understand about the farmers reasoning is if your making money off of cattle or whatever your raising wouldn't it behoove you to make sure their in good shape and prosper?

What good is a dead animal or one that is crippled?

Guess they're just considered dispensable.

@SharkEAll our animals at our farm are well taken care of, I just can't imagine why anyone would own any animal just to neglect it. I get so angry when I see abuse of any beautiful creature. Man is the most abusive animal of all.
