Do you really like office-type of things?

Like paperclips, paper, pens, pencils, stapler, desk top or office type of things? I have a laminator which I do use now and then.

I just wonder if others here are like me in that. Love all that stuff. I even use stickers to help me remember dates. I have little paw prints for my dog's vet and groomer appts., and some doctor-type of stickers for those visits for hubs and myself. I love doing that.

Anyone else?

I use paper clips all the time and do like the large and small colored clips. I also like the colored post it notes and fancy colored files.

I do like them because they are useful. Otherwise, I really haven't given it any thought.

I like all of that stuff too, but I always thought it was because I'm so organized and i spent half of my life working as a secretary.

Your post made me giggle.

Some women get excited when entering a shoe store.

Some women get excited when entering a makeup store.

Some women get excited when entering a jewelry store.

I get excited entering a Staples/Office Depot!

I’ve journaled off/on throughout the yrs & take copious amounts

of notes so I have a myriad of little notebooks scattered about.

So Staples is my dealer for my notebook addiction!

I've been an office worker (file clerk, secretary, office manager) all my working life (44 years!), and strangely enough, while I love having all that stuff AT WORK, I rarely use any of it at home! Well, except for pens. Wonder why that is?

I do have wall calendars both at home and work, but I never put appointments on them since I got a smartphone--they go on the phone calendar where I can also program a reminder to pop up a couple of days before the appointment.

@qualitygal Not so much the paperclips and stickers but I'm a sucker for pens and pads and notebooks. I have a drawer full of pens and various pads etc. My daughter is the same way.

I cannot live without my mini size posty notes. Have them all over home and the office. Put them on my key ring to with just one word sometimes "fridge" or "freezer" Reminder to grab what I picked up at the grocery store at lunch to take home that night. Home use and office use just love office supplies. I took some home for one of my granddaughters first sleep over's last summer. She wanted to stop eating her ice cream and cupcake because she needed to get back to her "paperwork." No toys necessary just office supplies for that four year old.

yes, i enjoy wandering through staples and office depot.

big clips, paper clips, post it notes, folders, portable files, push pins, pens, markers, and anything new and different.

I've always loved going to get school supplies when I was young and with my kids when they needed them. There was something about all new supplies that just thrilled me. LOL

I use one color file folder for major items: yellow for vacation home, red for tax receipts, gray for house bills, etc.

I LOVE a good writing pen! The other desk stuff, I have, but only in the case that I have to use them. Not that I like them.

I used to love, love, love all that stuff when I was a child going to school. Pens, pencils, notebooks.....stationary stores were among my favorite places to shop. I had a handwriting obsession, too. I loved changing my style of handwriting or trying to copy friends' handwriting that I thought was nice.

Somewhere along the way, I lost interest in all that. I'll still buy it, but I don't really relish it, or do much that's nice with it. And the irony is, the stuff available today is so much prettier and elaborate than what we had in the fifties or sixties.

And where did those stationary stores go? I guess they have morphed into the big Office Depots, etc., but I sort of get overwhelmed in those.

I wish I still loved those things, because I remember how much pleasure they brought me.

I have loved office supplies ever since I was a child. My mother was a book keeper so there was always and endless supply of them. Such beautiful things they have now. I miss having a desk. My favorite company is called poppin(I hope that is okay to say)😍
