But it was well worth it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I bet having 2 pieces of cardboard made your sleds held up a bit better.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My Father's Family is from Wales and in the front of the family Genealogy book is the saying:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To be born in Wales, not with a silver spoon in your mouth, but, with music in your blood and with poetry in your soul, is a privilege indeed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Cardboard Sled Race</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;A local radio station has a Cardboard Sled Race every year. A few years ago, several Engineers from our company worked many hours making a sled to compete in the race. Their sled fell apart as it was going down the hill.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The picture below is the second place winner of this years race. I can't believe what a nice job they did making the sled. And I also can't believe it only got second place.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;PS - Just saw a picture of Slinky Dog going down from the top of the hill. Each person had a headrest. So if any of you had any safety concerns.       <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Wow, that is an absolutely amazing sled and kudos to&amp;nbsp;all of the dedicated work that went into it!...I can't believe that it is all cardboard and appears quite sturdy for the ride!...I would love to see a picture of the sled that won first place!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;We did that too with cardboard back in the fifties, but we used it to slide down the steep grassy hills where we lived.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4034"&gt;@drizzellla&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Oh I know Carmarthenshire - the castle and the Bay - we are from the Rhonda Valley, village called Cwm (pronounced Koom) - was evacuated when very young to my Dad’s village of Cwm during the war and spent next 10 years of my life there - Dad in Army, Mum working in ammunition’s factory in London. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;Loved the mountains, rivers, rugby, love Wales. &amp;nbsp;Still have lots of relatives there. &amp;nbsp;Moved back to London with parents then - my Irish Mum did not like Wales but my sister and I &amp;nbsp;very Welsh! &amp;nbsp;Still have my girlfriends there who I started school with.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yes have watched movie you mention also Tom Jones grew up in me valley to us but never knew him!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I found a YouTube video with a very brief shot of it but not able to copy. It was Wheel of Fortune theme. And third place was the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile sled.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;We never used cardboard sleds for snow but we did use them on high grassy hills.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This sled is really quite something considering the size and number of people on it.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
