How Cold Is It Where you Live?

It was 10 degrees about 2 hours ago and now it's 12 degrees. It will be like this for 3 days. We did not get snow in my area but I understand there is a big storm heading east. This is Chicago. How about you?

the polar vortex is moving in tonight. it has been cold all day but wind is really picking up now that storm has left. temps falling fast.

This morning the wind chill was -4. It got up to 25 but it still feels like it's about 10.

@Katcat1 My son and grandson are headed to Chicago for the St Patrick's Day parade, leaving Thursday. Ouch. They want to spend time visiting the city. However, they have been several times before, but they enjoy it just the same. I have warned them to dress warm. Men! They don't listen. I even warned them about gloves and thick socks. Let's see if they stay warm or not. Mamma knows best. It's cold in Atlanta, but not as cold as it is in Chicago.

70 degrees and cloudy in the Bradenton, FL area. It’s supposed to get down in the upper 40’s over the next 2-3 nights. From the way people are carrying on you’d think it was the end of the world!

@FrostyBabe1 It might be for me. I did a speaking engagement to a large rose club in South Carolina recently and told them the perfect time to cut their roses back in this zone is last week in February and first week of March.

@scatcat Yes, taking antibiotics and some other pills after getting a couple shots and wrapping, soaking and elevating. Thanks a million for asking.

Not so bad, it's 36 now. We got a bunch of snow last night and this morning so hopefully it will melt over the next few days.

It's been in the mid twenties, low 30's here in PA, but we keep getting between 3 to 9 inches a snow every other day.

2018 was a really wet year filled with too much rain. We don't need any more moisture. We have too much flooding and big trees falling over because the ground is too saturated and the roots can't support the weight. Two beautiful trees in my yard were leaning and we had to get them removed last fall.

I can't wait for warm dry weather.

Well, here in MN it was -10 this morning. With the wind chill it felt like 25 below!! It made it up to a whooping 8 degrees, but felt below zero all day with wind chill. I am over winter.

Sounds like what we are getting. I am so glad that we got all the shoveling done this morning. Because it is really getting cold now. And the temperature is dropping like crazy. Tomorrow all this snow is going to have a thick ice crust.

I shoveled about 7 inches of snow yesterday and it was 5' above. That morning I woke up and it was only 0' so I waited until the thermometer moved...a little.

Deep South here, SE Coastal GA, yesterday was 76, then big thunderstorms in the evening.

Mid 60's today, but by the weekend we're expecting a gradual return to 77-78.

I hope all of our forum friends that are dealing with this harsh weather stays safe, warm and healthy!

Too cold--single digits with windchills in the minus teens here in downtown Chicago. Making plans already to "get out of Dodge" for some portion of next winter.
