Period.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I do not shop and fill a large cart just to be frustrated and have no place that is suitable to check out properly. And since they can't seem to do their job, I wasn't about to do mine twice by returning the items.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It sends a message, when people don't just give in to the lack of services that many businesses are now trying to get away with, but refuse to spend money when they don't get the service they are looking for, and paying for.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The bad karma is on them. I've seen people walk out of stores many times when there are no full service registers open. When businesses see that customers aren't going to accept lack of service, they will change their policies, or they will loose money.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It isn't like I go in daily or weekly, just to prove a point and leave a full cart of groceries. This was a one time deal, after having had to struggle with the 3 foot by 3 foot checkout station once before, and knowing I'd never do it again for large volume purchases (I use self checkout all the time for smaller purchases).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The stores in this area all have full service available after 9am, if not before. This particular store seems to have chosen not to all of a sudden. Don't think you can change the program mid stream, leave the customers with no place to efficiently&amp;nbsp;do the work they should be doing in the first place, and think there won't be consequences.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/19574"&gt;@Mominohio&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; You had to have seen the limited openings for check out when you entered the store.&amp;nbsp; I doubt all registers were fully staffed when you entered.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The point is you left the cart, and I hope perishables were not being purchased, thinking that it sent a message.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The only message it sent is that a customer, for whatever reason, chose to leave a full cart in the way of other customers, causing not only an eyesore but a potential inconvenience for other customers.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I understand the frustration when cashiers are lacking; but walking out like that only left you without what you needed and another trip to purchase the same exact items.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So you drove there, used gas, spent time shopping, left, used gas again to purchase elsewhere, spent more time purchasing same items, and in the end the only person who ended up wasting time, gas, and serenity was you.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Waiting in line is not unusual; we may not like it but it is what it is.&amp;nbsp; This will not change.&amp;nbsp; Even if you had more cashiers you run a risk of the person without the right price, or coupons coming out of their ears, or paying by check or any other myriad of issues that can hold up a line.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We all have time that is precious to us; but assuming the rest of the world will be serving us on our time line is unrealistic, especially today.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If I saw a loaded cart left in an aisle, my first reaction would be "how rude".&amp;nbsp; Now if a person had to run out because they were just called about a family emergency, that would be understandable.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But to just leave it and walk out was wrong.&amp;nbsp; Nobody gained anything, no lesson was learned, and you ended up spending more time than if you had just waiting in line in the first plac.e.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/229947"&gt;@Cakers3&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You did not read all my postings on this, and are responding to something you don't understand. It wasn't about long lines. It was about no registers available period, that would handle that large of an order.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All employee run registers were closed during prime business hours. The self checks have all been reduced to tiny little areas, that have a limit of 20 items. Even if they let you process a heaping cart at those express self serves, there is no where to put your bagged groceries once the tiny little bagging station is full. Moving them, lifting them off the bagging station, locks the computer every time you remove a bag, to make more room to continue to ring the rest of your order. There are no longer any full sized, belt fed, self service terminals that were designed for self checking out of large orders, they removed them.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's ridiculous to think customers, during prime business hours, are going to put up with this.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And no, I didn't peruse the availability&amp;nbsp;of full service registers when going in. Why the heck would I? It's one of the busiest days of the week, and prime shopping time, one would reasonably expect there to be open cash registers with the ability to process full cart loads of groceries. This particular store has 24 full service registers, and they couldn't have even one open to ring out large orders?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yes I was inconvenienced. But I'm not going to put up with lack of service like this, and spend my money in places that insist on not providing the service I need. I did go to another store and started all over, just a half mile down the road, so no wasted gas as it was on my way home, and it's my time to spend. I'll gladly spend it not putting up with a business that doesn't provide necessary service.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Seems they are encouraging customers to use the self check outs.&amp;nbsp; I have been lately since I dislike standing in long lines.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#3366FF"&gt;Also did they always have a 90 day return policy on clothing?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; If they did, I guess I always returned things sooner since I didnt realize this.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Our local Wal-mart took out half the registers and replaced them with self-serve. &amp;nbsp;One person watches the self-serve customers. &amp;nbsp; That one person replaces about five registers...all about the money, &amp;nbsp;I've never heard of any merchant offering a 90 day return policy....very generous.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Our local Walmart has added a few new self check out registers, but they did not remove any of the employee run registers. &amp;nbsp;The store is always super busy, even after midnight.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Everyday there are shoplifters caught at the store. &amp;nbsp;I go to the police department site and check out who was arrested. &amp;nbsp;I can't the believe how dumb or desperate people are. &amp;nbsp;Some people are caught with a cart load of stolen goods.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Their security department sure gets a workout. I am sure the shop lifting problems inflate prices for all of us.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Wow, I am surprised they have a 90 day return policy. &amp;nbsp;If you hung on to clothing for 3 months before you returned it, it would be out of season and could not be put back on the rack, and they would lose money on it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Most retailers, including Amazon, have a 30 day or less return policy.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Our Walmart has 25 registers...but usually only two have cashiers. The self-checkout always has long lines due to that. Almost every self-checkout register has a glitch in it and malfunctions often &amp;nbsp;from my observation...they usually have an elderly man standing by them to troubleshoot &amp;nbsp;but he usually just fusses at the customer for doing something wrong....I avoid the mess altogether and go to the garden center to checkout....nice man who is usually out there....if you wake him up, he is very helpful.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Typically shop at WalMart in the morning, and before they installed the self-checkout registers it was always a pain standing in line because they never had more than 3 cashiers on duty.&amp;nbsp; Loved it when they put in the self-checkouts.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;WM self checks are better now than they used to be where the robot voice would nag about every little thing. they still say Unexpected item in bagging area when you can't separate those !%&amp;amp;^?! cheezy gray plastic bags to open them.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But the new thing is WM i go to put in little video screen cams so you give them a selfie while checking out.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Walmart has people stealing TV's between their legs while using long, long trench coats to cover up and acting like they're just fat or pregnant.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;women take pregnancy test kits into the bathroom, get their results and pitch in trash.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;mothers let their kids eat pastries without paying for.&amp;nbsp; same goes for fruit.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We all pay for this, they mark up the produce to take into account loss of fruit by mothers letting their kids think it's alright to help yourself to the grapes, bananas, apples.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Husband used to work there I know. People bring back bobby pins. Wear the shoes out over a season, then, bring back the smelly shoes and whine "I want refund". People steal stuff, then, come back and want cash saying they have lost their receipt.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;They clamped down on that c^ap though.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;As far as I know, no receipt, no refund.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I wouldn't own a store nowdays if you hand me the keys. FREE. Nope.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;They took ours out then put them back in later on both ends with regular cash registers in between. The new ones have cameras so they can make sure you are not stealing anything.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;I use them all the time since I can check out a lot faster doing it myself.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Last time I was in there I was going to let them check me out but they only had 1 cashier. I had $350 worth of stuff. LOL!!!&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;I don't know why they have all the registers if they are not going to use them. They don't even all get used during the Holidays.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;At mine they also have employees walking around with scanners and credit card machines.&amp;nbsp; They'll check you out straight from your cart as you're standing in line.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Wow your Walmart sounds like it has better management than mine. I do hate that they took all the scanners out so you can’t check a price without using the app on your phone....problem is, it rarely works right and gives a goofy price or it says n/a</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Color me old fashioned or just old but I don't do self checks.&amp;nbsp; One it takes jobs away from people. And I don't trust myself to do it right&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I don't like scanning fruit or vegetables or whatever is not in a package.&amp;nbsp; And I just want to be treated as a customer not a worker.&amp;nbsp; If this continues they ought to lower the prices because they are not paying anyone...&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Self check out usually means that jobs have been lost&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Returns over 90 days are a loss to the store and hard to sell.</description>
