Red Heart Yarn, Grrrrrrr

I've used this for years for my dog's sweaters. Amore is my favorite style and some colors are for sale at Wal Mart. Michael's doesn't carry it. I ordered $50+ from the company on line. Got an email saying it was shipped with no way to track, no due date, no shipping company so... I called and 41 minutes later I was still on hold.

I can't believe in this day and age companies don't or won't answer their customers calls!!!

Not another order from me, ever. I'll find another yarn I can buy in a store and bring home.

In checking "New Arrivals" a few days ago, I discovered QVC has dozens of lots of yarn for sale. I can't figure out why as it's the last place I'd go looking for yarn. It was packaged in multiple skeins for one flat price.

@Naturesbeauty Thank you! Yes, I got my first yarn at Wal Mart but they don't carry all the colors. The closest Jo Anns does not carry Amore RH nor does Michaels which is 60 miles away.

@Kachina624- Well, just for fun I put "yarn" in the search bar and was amazed at what came up. Different brands, all kinds of colors. It must be one of those "new and exciting" changes coming to QVC that mug recipients were warned about!

I see that Herrschners.com also sells Red Heart Amore. They have 13 colors.

I just did a quick look/comparson. QVC's prices about about 50 cents per skein higher than other retail .... bulk purchases ... limited color selection.

And - they don't the brands I usually buy. Check out some of these vendors.

I am an avid crocheter and made 5 afghans for Christmas presents this year. I buy all of my yarn from Joanns. Their selection of brands and colors has greatly improved over the past six months. They are very good about returns. I had a problem with an ombre yarn. The flow of the colors was defective. Showed the manager what the problem was and got a full refund. If you sign up for the coupons, they have excellent sales. Sorry, am not familiar with Amore. Check out Joann's online.

I got my order but it took forever. I called the company (different coats & clarks #) and CS said they were having alot of calls. I asked if they were going to give custoners tracking info in the future, answer was "yes!" That will solve their phone wait I guess.

Thank you for all the great suggestions!!! Amore is a medium weight but it feels soft and my dog loves it. Bet I can find something similar.
