QVC goes off air

at 3 or 4 today and comes back on the 26th at 7 a.m.

Don't know if Mods will monitor the boards or not.

They do this every year. They will be showing different things though. All pre-recorded.

But we will be able to post....at least we have in the past.

Yes, just like every year. Who really cares if the board will be moderated? I don't think many people will be here. I would hope that even people who are going to be alone on Christmas would make a nice meal and perhaps spend the day calling friends and family and watching Christmas movies while they eat Christmas cookies. Being alone doesn't mean you can't celebrate Christmas.

You may not have seen what can happen when mods are away. Trolls have popped in and posted hundreds of obscene messages, making a huge mess if things. For that reason alone, yes, mods are necessary. For this reason, sometimes, the board has been closed while mods are away.

I would hope that those who read/post here have learned its best just to ignore trolls. not to respond

Since we have already celebrated Christmas on Sunday with our kids and grandkids, and my mother (only parent DH and I have left) we will probably go out to eat with daughter and son-in-law for lunch today. We picked up Mom and went to a lovely Christmas Eve service last night, then drove her around to look at the Christmas lights and decor.

I will probably be watching some of QVC's pre programed shows today and be checking in on the forums. I enjoyed our holiday very much but it will be nice to sit back and relax today.

I am so disappointed. Was looking forward to watching the Q today since the hubs and I are home sick and can't go anywhere or have anyone over. The Q used to have music - video's of the host and just inside tidbits for us all. The only thing they have on is OLD shows. I guess they figured someone might buy something today. Not at my house. So the Q will be off today and I'll just watch Hallmark Christmas movies all day without commercials.

So sorry Boaz that you and hubby are under the weather. Feel better soon. But I agree with yuo. I poked my head in a ocuple of times looking forward to seeing some Meredith Lawrence demonstrating cooking techniques or some of the hosts baking with their kids. All I ever caught was the parade or old TSVs. Very disappointing.

When did they continue to sell during the holiday? I remember them having tapes of the staff with their families, talking about Christmas and such. This year, the 3 networks I watch all show selling.

Well from what I have seen on here today, the MODS must not be on duty. That one thread is just awful. And you all know if the MODS were working it wouldn't be on here now. Maybe they will get rid of it tomorrow when they return to work.

It's not so bad, could be a lot worse given the bait waiting for someone to bite. We're all adults, no smelling salts needed. Everything will be cleaned up nice and tidy when the crew is back on the job. I'm glad they've been given a nice vacation from us. LOL
