Blue jeans for plus sized

I used to be very large and always shopped at Lane Bryant. Loved their clothes. Now that I am a size 14, I have a horrible time finding nice fitting jeans. While I was out today, I saw that they carry sizes 10 and up now. In I went, I bought the best fitting jeans, came home, wore them for an hour, went to their site and ordered another pair. All jeans are 39 bucks today!

Thank you! But I'm a size 14 now, done from a 26-28. I am still plis sized, according to standards. I was thinking now that they start at a size 10, is that really plus sized?

Any way, really nice jeans if anyone is in the need.

@Warrior2022 That is a warrior accomplishment! I think of a size 14 as regular person size...doesn't matter. You have lots to be proud of...not an easy journey!

Around 7 yrs ago, I bought around 10 pairs of jeans, size 12 short or petite, from kohls dot com. I'm still wearing all of them - and they're perfect.

I don't wear jeans that often. I'm yet to find a "comfy" pair but I love ponte pants I bought from Avenue. They fit so well I bought 4 pairs when they went on sale since when I find a good fit next time they won't have them!

Congratulations on your weight loss! I recently discovered Woman Within’s Tummy Tamer jeans available through Full Beauty. They are the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever owned. They’re 71% cotton, 21% polyester and 8% spandex. I usually go up a size to allow for shrinkage in the wash or if they’re skinny jeans (I refuse to wear tight clothing). They come in a variety of denim shades, misses, petite and tall, as well as straight leg, boot cut and skinny. They usually cost $49, but Full Beauty frequently runs sales on them. It’s interesting that Lane Bryant carries size 10 now. I wouldn’t have thought that was a plus size, but whatever!

Finding a great pair of jeans isn't easy. It's awesome when we find something that works.

If anyone is looking for a new pair of jeans, I received an email this morning from Old Navy. All adult jeans are $10 today.

I don't think of 10 as plus size. I'm glad to know Lane Bryant has size 10 though, I need a 12 and have been looking for black jeans that are not skinny jeans and having trouble finding any. Will check out Lane Bryant next time I'm in the mall.

Try Good American. Founded by Klohe Kardashian, it was intended for larger women. They go up to plus size. Jeans are by waist size, but they show dress size next to it for finding you size. These are premium jeans (American made "sort of" Sewn together in the U.S, but manufactured overseas ) but cheaper then the usual. Over $100.00 but under $200.00. Goes up to Size 24. This is a size 16. They have sales too.

No--size 14 is the average for American women---at least that was the case before----congrats on your weight loss---I hate when numbers are such an issue---you need to buy what fits you and what makes you feel good and comfy no matter what the numbers are !!!

Best jeans I have found are the boyfriend style from Dress Barn, I have to two pairs, second I have to say Talbot's Girlfriend are great but they are more than twice the price

I have found the best place to purchase jeans all the way from size 2 to size 26 is Goodwill. Our Goodwill in our little town is very nice with many varieties.

Talbots has plus size 14 and up and also petites and regular ones AND curvy fit. They are expensive, but they have great sales if you can keep track and get their e-mails. They have pants for $19.99 often.

I don't feel this way, but I've read the fashion industry considers plus size to be size 10-14. I don't worry about any labels. Nice to know Lane Bryant offers a large range of sizes.

Talbots also has Women’s Petite jeans. They’re my second choice after the Tummy Tamers. You just have to watch for a sale.
