Went away for the weekend and for the first time I forgot to take the charging cord for my iPad and my iPhone.

Of course, the batteries would go down to zip! Stopped at a Verizon Wireless store: $40 ! No way said DH. So, we drove to the other end of the shopping center and he said to check Ross......

To my amazement, just as he said there was a wall of them by the men‘s Department. My charger cost $ 7 there !!!

Im pretty sure the last place one should look is at a Verizon or ATT store. I got my chargers at WalMart and paid very little for them.

I need to get a car charger for my Samsung Android. Are such things universal or do I have to get one that works specifically for my model? I feel foolish asking, but did a quick Google search to no avail.

Better yet ...... if your device came with a car charger, put it in a little ziploc bag and leave it in your glove compartment!

Just be careful with the cheapy chargers. Sometimes they actually can damage your phone.

My daughter has a car charger which she bought at Walmart. It is a universal charger and unless your instructions specifically says you have to use a charger for your model, you should be safe buying any kind.

I only use an Apple brand charger, per Apple’s suggestion. Apple branded anything is pretty much the same price every where. The cube is $20 and the cable is $20. Verizon’s pricing was in line.

you can pretty much get them everywhere......even gas stations. when we went to vegas recently they even had them for sale in the mini bar in our room!

@sunshine45: Were you staying at the Hard Rock Casino? I ask because that's the only hotel in Vegas where I personally saw chargers for sale in the mini bar. Because that casino "specializes" in millennial they also sold lotions, lotions and condoms in their mini bars.

LOL I'm pretty sure millenials are not the only ones interested in those things. Actually, I'm 100% certain.

Here is a tip i read a while ago on a Travel Forum - ask at the front desk of your hotel. So many people forget their chargers that the hotel might just have a box of them is the lost and found. Worked for me in Granda, Spain!

Be very cautious about those cheap chargers in the bins at convenience and drugstores. They aren't made well and have a history of causing fires.

I don't always buy Apple chargers, but I make sure my chargers and cables are made by a reputable brand (Belkin, Paracable, Anker) and are mfi-fi certified.

Good morning! SO glad you mentioned that. Even the chargers that are not cheap can damage your phone if they are not for your phone.That happened to me with my Samsung phone.
