We stopped at BRU and 2 speciality stores and I was astoinished at the prices I saw. Some of these these run $500 and up to over a $1000.00 for a "solid wood "crib made out of birch or poplar. It is recommended that you not purchase a used crib because the drop side cribs have been banned and if you buy used you cannot be sure how many times the crib has been taken apart and put back together which could cause it to not have tightly fitting parts. THey sure are a lot fancier than the simple crib I had for my kids.
