Holy Cow!

I waited on line for an hour and a half to vote today.

It was great to see so many people involved.

Good for you! Our wait was minimal since we went the first day of early voting, and shortly after the building opened so it was easy peasy.

I admire the people in all those long, long, long, long lines. It's worth it; and not just a right but a cherished privilege.

@dex I didn't know that. You might need the formality but after 19 years I'd say you are indeed a part of this country.

We have no early voting option here or I would have taken advantage of that!

I did get to visit with some neighbors who were also on line and chatted a little with one of the poll workers who I see every election (for years!) and he said it had been the busiest election he's seen since he's been working it.

I usually am in and out in 15 minutes or less!!!

I think this may have been the longest line for anything I've waited on.

The only one longer I can recall was the Motor Vehicle Bureau in NYC. I always knew to bring a book AND lunch to that place.

I miss going in person on Election Day. It’s so much more exciting and I could visit with locals that I don’t often see, while waiting in line. Due to my disabilities I have to mail in my ballot now. Still a great privilege, though!

40 minutes for me which wasn't bad.

Got a complete shock at a text I received while waiting in line. Google needs to turn off their location services so we can't be campaigned to in line or our government finally needs to do something about the do not call registry's integrity.

We waited for approx 10 minutes but we went before the lunch crowd.

I printed a sample ballot for our precinct a couple of days ago and studied it so we knew exactly how and who we were voting.

I was talking with a woman ahead of me in line and she said she wished she'd gotten there earlier as she had to leave to get to work and the polls would be closed when she got off work. She finally had to leave (unvoted) so she wouldn't be late for work. She'd already waited an hour.

Wish everyone had the ability to vote early.

I always do the mail-in ballot. It's so easy and the return envelope is postage paid. Glad to hear so many are out there voting.

Arrived at 9:30 a.m and the lines were very long. But, the one for my road moved very fast. Saw lots of neighbors and people I know.

I was there at 10:45, right after my last client of the morning. When I left at 12:15, the lines were still as long as when I arrived!

my state, it's all done by mail, and dropping off your ballot at one of the ballot boxes. never a wait.

I voted around 2:00 p.m. with about a 20 minute wait. Around 500 had voted before me. This is a high number for our precinct at this time of day.

One reason for the wait time was someone who lived in another county wanted to vote at our precinct and made a big stink about being told to go vote in her own. Good grief. 🙄
