Slow Shipping from Amazon

Anyone seeing very slow shipping from Amazon? I ordered a few times recently and the shipping is getting way too slow for my taste. One item is going on 5 weeks now and still not here. Another item was sent but tracking says there is a delay. The shipping used to be much better IMO.

Mine is getting faster. It almost scares me. I order and it is there. I often wonder if they are dropping the stuff from the sky. I don't shop stores anymore because of it.

Darn, mine is super slow. Half the items I order are delayed in some way. I ordered again today so hopefully that order arrives in a reasonable time. I swear, it's been so long for some items that I'm starting to forget I ordered them.

I have absolutely no complaints about Amazon delivery.

I rarely wait more than two days.

I placed an order and it took over 2 weeks to get here because it kept going past my town while going to 1 sorting facility to another. It actually went by my town 4 times before it found it's way here. I watched the tracking, so I knew where it was. I could have met them over on the interstate and gotten my order if I had known where they were going. The bad part was I didn't realize the order was being shipped from Hong Kong. I would have changed who I ordered from had I known that. No more overseas orders if I can help it.

@Snoopp, I find that my items are still arriving as quickly as they are estimated to. Most of the things I order are Amazon Prime and are sold by Amazon directly. Are the items you are experiencing very slow delivery on purchased through Amazon directly or are they purchased through individual sellers? That may make a difference on when the item is shipped. I find Amazon's customer service has always been helpful if I have any issues. I give them a call and have not been disappointed in their responses over the years. You may wish to give them a call if you haven't already on any items that you were expecting and haven't received yet. Good luck with your newest order

Hi @Snoopp 5 weeks??? Was this a third party vendor? It was not Prime, was it?

I haven't noticed slow shipping in our area. In fact, if we know we'll be away from home on the weekend, we won't order anything from Amazon on a Friday - because it'll be delivered either Saturday or Sunday.

My last two orders have been delivered before 24 hours. If you order through a third party your order will probably be slower.

If you paid for prime and aren't getting it, I would definitely file a complaint.

I don't have Amazon Prime and notice that if the order is fulfilled by Amazon - they will not send it out until days after so I will receive it later but within the range specified. I once got my 2nd order combined with the first order bought days apart. So in essence my 1st order came on the last day specified and my 2nd order came super fast.

Some of those 3rd party vendors ship from China and it can take forever to arrive, but they tell you in advance it will take a long time. But if you just click on through your order without reading the delivery dates you might miss the info.

Amazon's shipping is remarkable. With Amazon Prime, when I order items on Sunday and Amazon says I'll have my order on Tuesday, I always do!

QVC could learn a lot from Amazon.

Amazon prime member here. I ordered two items on Saturday with 2 day free shipping.

One item is scheduled to arrive on Friday and the other on Thursday. I don't mind, but wondered why it is so slow. That is more than two days. I order the same items ( dog treats) often and they are usually here in a day or two.

Amazon's warehouses work 24/7 even on weekends. Often I receive Saturday's orders on Monday.

I don't understand the question. If you don't have Prime and if you are buying from one of the tens of thousands of sellers on Amazon, there can be a long wait because that company is the seller, not Amazon. I have Prime and I try to buy only products that Prime eligible so I have no problem with shipping times. When items are coming directly from Amazon, I often get them in less than 24 hours. I ordered hand towels from Prime Basics around 4pm and got them the next day before noon.

@Carmie- even though it's nothing you need urgently, that delivery is not what you agreed to when you purchased. I would email Amazon and mention it.

We have Prime but I have encountered some slow shipping. When something is supposed to come in 2 days, it often comes in 3 or 4. If I order anything from a 3rd Party seller and it says fulfilled by Prime, it can take up to 10 days. I use Prime mostly for toys for my grandson around his birthday and holidays. I am not a big shopper with them.

I'm not using amazon prime but in the past, the shipping time was reasonable, even without it. Now orders are getting delayed and no reason is given. I'll have to check and see how many are from third party vendors, but even that was not a real problem until recently.

Anything you buy directly though Amazon Prime is there almost as fast as you can blink. Can't tell you how many times I order one day. The next day it's there. What takes longer is the other companies in partnership with Amazon. They do their own shipping. It usually takes a couple of days. In all the years with Amazon Prime, I'never had anything so late I'm aware I don't have it yet.

So far, I have not had a problem. Orders either come on the scheduled date or earlier. I ordered something from Japan and it came a week before the delivery range.

I notice some Prime orders say 2 business days which would stretch out the delivery time too.
