@green girl.......probably just what it says.....more than likely because of the pearls at the hem. Would think that they are advising you not to machine wash and dry in the dryer.

I actually had a washing machine that had Hand Wash on it...oh I miss it.

I ordered those and sent them back. Cute pants but I hated the 24/7 stretch fabric. It felt like plastic knit to me.
